Lalime and Belfour are the starters tonight in nets. Roberts returns for Tor. who should give the Leafs an emotional boost but will be nowhere game ready, so if the Sens can weather the emotional storm at the ACC for the first 10 min. they should settle into their game. I see a low scoring affair maybe even a tie. Both teams are at the top of their games now. Sens are still without Schaefer, Schastlivy, Bonk and Leshechyn. Leafs are as healthy as can be. Might play a side later but going with the under for now.

Playing:
Edm./Mtl. u5(+120)1 Unit - 4pm
LA - PK.(130)1 Unit - 4pm
Ott./Tor. u5(+115) 1 Unit
NYR - PK.(-120)1 Unit - Can you believe it, they are playing as a team now. Gotta go with the better team here.

Leaning to a bunch of overs by playing the system of back to back roadies as it is worth the try. Pens, Caps, Bruins, Yotes & Ducks all over the total. Back with more info on those totals later.

Pro-Line P/S players in Canada - Playing(SU/Wisc./LSU/Mich./Marq./T.Tech) Wheeling them all.

GLTA!

The Rangers played an absolute disaster in the Penguins last night and managed 1 goal and that on a PP, be careful backing the Blueshirts.

Penfan,

True, but I thought Hedberg kept this game close as the Rangers outchanced the Pens badly. Something to keep in mind, shots on goal mean next to nothing, scoring chances is the stat coaches look at the most after a game when they review video. Rangers were passing with more precision last night and are actually playing with confidence. I am actually looking at your Pens today at +1.5. They can not go 3 straight games going scoreless, mind you I see Hrdina is out today. Still not sure, your thoughts on the game?

The only chance Buffalo has is if Biron stands on his head tonight. Buffalo's defence is hurt and their PP and scoring is horrible. At -.5 +141 I'm going with the Rangers also.

Also Kovalev is great against Buffalo if my memory serves me correct.

I am not sure they can't go 3 games without scoring, localy there is nothing positive coming from the organization. The Kovalev trade was necessary, but still a disaster, no coincidence that the next day Morozov decides not to play again this season and opts for surgury on his wrist, also no coincidence that Mario tells wveryone this may be it for him this season. I have followed the Penguins for 20+ seasons and have never seen them in this much disaray, honestly. I am not being a smart-ass when I say, handicap the game anyway you like but tell me where you see any scoring from Pittsburgh. The Lemieux line is almost a non factor since you can double or triple team him and have little else to worry about. Again I reference the Rangers game and while they may be playing better hockey, they are certainly not a standout team and Pisstburgh generated almost no scoring chances even on a 2-man advantage. Nobody hopes more than me that they can compete and make the playoffs, God knows they need the revenue, but there is just a lack of talent plain and simple.
Good luck with your day.

be careful playing against buffalo in this spot......if balckburn is in net buff may be a play for me...seems like when a team looks like they can beat the world after winning a couple in a row and are playing decent hockey they chit the bed against a team everyone thinks they will beat...( see minny last night)....i always check consensus sites regarding plays...and rangers are getting hit heavily on these sites...

good luck tonight on all your plays bro...

Did you guys hear about the Buffalo Sabres protest tonight? The fans apparently are going to leave their seats in the second period of the game and just stand in the concourse where all the food and stuff is sold to protest how the league distributes talent and also to show how teams like Buffalo cannot compete. It is supposed to be a sellout out crowd tonight.

I wonder if this will actually go down....

penfan,

Thanks for the input, what blows me away is that Alex Daigle is still on the farm and is itching to get back up. He has put up some solid numbers in Scranton. My buddies saw him play the other night in a home game against Binghamton. They say he stills has that breakaway speed and is going to the net more as well as shooting more as he has led the team in shots on goal as well since his demotion in late Dec. I speak to him quite often and I know he is a little dumbfounded as to why he is not up with the big club, especially with the trade and injuries. They keep calling up other guys. For a guy that was on the number PP unit at one point in Nov. and now to be on the farm it all makes no sense. I asked him if he pissed someone off to have this happen and he said, no way. He is on a one way deal so why not pay him his 800,000 grand in Pitt. rather than in Scranton. Thought you would find this interesting.

Like I said, the team is in disaray and the Daigle thing does not surprise me at all, confuses me, but does not surprise. The end is near in Pittsburgh for hockey. The league on general can't take a work stopage in 2004, but more importantly small market teams will not be able to recover from one at all. Big changes in the CBA must occur and I don't see it happening with asshole Betteman in charge of the league. 30 teams, brilliant move idiot. Tell me why when the NBA wasn't playing a few years back he didn't push the game on the broadcast networks, hell I would have given it away for free just to get the much needed exposure, instead he burries his head in the sand.
