i can see someone taking a shot on him toward the beginning of the 2nd round. if someone could teach this kid to develop ANY sort of jump shot, he could be an absolute steal. probably one of the top 3 or 4 athletes in the entire draft.

hakim warrick
to me, he's a top 5 or 6 pick. if chris bosh can go #5 or #6 (whatever he went) then warrick certainly should do the same. everyone talks about marvin williams having the most upside of anyone in the draft. i think you can make a case for warrick. he's still very raw and can only get better.

ike diogu
think hes a 1st round bust waiting to happen. i get the feeling that hes a great college player that wont be able to make the transition to the pro game. no shame in that, because hes a damn good collegiate player. but dont like his nba chances.

julius hodge
the poster boy for staying in school too LONG. from lottery pick to 2nd round. ouch.

I agree with Diogu gman, just not athletic enough to make it in the NBA...just another danny fortson....Warrick DEF is a top 5 or 6 pick, I can see him boosting his draft status Carmelo style with a solid postseason...

good comparison. relentless worker and probably will make some money in the league, but not someone thats worth selecting any higher than 25. jmo.

agree on warrick too. syracuse has the potential to get bounced early, but also the potential to go very deep into the tourney. if they go deep, warrick will likely be a big reason why and that will help him solidify his stock.

yea, Diogu first reminded me of him when I saw him playing...just doesn't have that big man swagger you see in a Tim Duncan or a KG, not even close...he can get some boards though with his toughness...

Another guy I really see as having some value is Francisco Garcia, I see him as another Peja like player who shoots more than he drives but def. a GREAT passer

call me an idiot if you will

i've seen bogut play a bunch on tv. I've seen him in person twice as well.

I just don't see it. He is a great college player, but I can't see him playing in the NBA. I mean not at any type of star level. I don't have stats or any types of rhymes or reasoning to it, I just don't see it. He has the skills for the nba maybe, but the NBA move to street ball in the last 10 years or so, I just don't see where he fits in.

I will say one thing though, the people of HOTLANTA are going to be booing like crazy if they pick this guy with the 2nd pick. Arguably the worst franchise in not only the NBA but all of sports and if you get the two pick (who knows with the lottery and all) and you pick a white guy from Utah, it won't make the fans happy or sell seats regardless of how good he is.

I think Travis Diener will be a nice pickup in the second round.

Ryan Gomes is an absolute steal at 25. I think he'll go higher than that. His team sucks this year, but he's a very nice, versatile player.

Francisco Garcia will never be a superstar in the league, but I think he can be one of those immediate impact guys who can step right in about any system and play well. A very nice player at the top of the second round.

Chuck Hayes is listed at the bottom of the second round. He's a nice college player, but I think he'll be too undersized for the NBA as he has no jumpshot. His game is banging inside, and I just don't think he's tall enough for that. Maybe his athleticism will overcome that as he can run.

David Lee can be one of those white-boy bangers and rebounders down low. Hopefully, he'll be off the juice by then. I've never heard this before from others, but to me, he's the poster boy for steroid use. His acne has cleared a little this year, so it's not quite as obvious. Still, he's 6'9" and 240 pounds. Without the juice, he's bo bigger than 215.

Overrated, how about Jarrett Jack, Chris Taft, both UNC guards, and the #1 overall. Maybe Marvin will be a better player than I think.

every time i look at ryan gomes, i see a young clarence weathspoon. thats not necessarily a bad thing. he does everything well, but nothing great.

i dont, however, think jack is overrated. i actually pegged him higher than the where list above had him going. definitely has an nba body and has the ability to finish in the lane. i see a poor man's stephon marbury, sans the court vision.
