Won't play anything til we are closer to week 1 (too many worries about injuries). But the ones that stick out to me the most in order are:
NYG-1..this line is now down to 1 at olympic. I think both of these should be improved teams. Neither made any huge upgrades but both made some solid FA/draft upgrades. Also not sold on ARZ's rookie RB and still feel they missed out by not getting one of the top 3 RB's in the draft. Not worried about the revenge factor of Warner vs his old team as that can work both ways. Still think its alot to basically ask a young Cards team to walk outta NY with a win.
PHI-3..I have always said it seems the biggest sucker line is a clearly superior team "only" favored by 3 on the road. But in this case I think it would be a solid play w/ or w/o TO. I know ATL has been waiting on this one for since the championship game but eagles are always a great road team. I also think ATL is due a bit of a let down as I feel their defense overachieved a bit last yr and not sold on Vick as a passing QB. He will get his on the ground but Peerless (if he isnt cut by then) is still a disappointment and UAB's Roddy White will not like his 1st game in the NFL going up against this 2ndary. Think Eagles get a push at the least.
BAL+3...I am a big a critic of Boller as anyone and even w/ his improved weapons to throw to still think he might not be able to get the job done. But vs Indy's defense at home I think he will do enough w/ a solid running game and very good D.
NEu49..I know OAK should be the ultimate over team but don't think Belicheck wants to get into a shootout even though they easily could win that way given Oak's bad defense.
I kind of liked the dal/sd under but its now down to 40. In all probability Dallas will be switching to a 3-4 and their will be some growing pains there early in the yr, esp w/ so many young players and FA acquisitions. Also think SD's defense overacheived a bit last yr. Would expect both teams to see alot of running plays but LT is capable of breaking off long runs at any time and Julius for Dal also has big-play capability and should be running behing an improved O-line. Throw in the fact Bledose holds onto the ball too long and 40 isnt high enough for me to make a play on the under.
Getting close to the season, can't wait!
