Let's start with the drunken and disheveled third cousin of bowls, the Poinsettia Bowl.

Statistically, this looks like a big Utah win. However, I am not a fan of Mountain West football and the loss that Air Force gave the Utes. Although Johnson left, the Navy upperclassmen have bigger fish to fry upon graduation. I don't think this is a football team that will pout about their coach going to Atlanta.

Motor City Bowl

On paper a clear Purdue blowout. Afrter all, they won by 20+ earlier this year. However CMU has improved since, while Purdue did what they typically do. I don't see how Purdue will be motivated, as they will be in a no win situation here. Win and they should have. Lose and they are just not very good. We know that already.

The wrong team if favored here. I think that ASU will be the motivated team. It doesn't hurt that Texas cannot stop the pass, the Devils will have what amounts to a home crowd, and UT looks to be a little banged up. I think Texas is laying points because of the name. The same name that almost lost to Nebraska at home.
