If Kerry Loses, I'm curious if madjackers have an eye on a particular candidate to run in 2008. Living in NY, I hear Hilary Clinton all the time on the Dem side. Please Nooooo! I'd vote for Kerry before that evil woman. I'm sure the Dems have some good candidates and I know the Republicans have a few also. I like Rudy but they say he has too many skeletons in his closet.

Yeah I can just see it now...Hillary Clinton being commander and cheif of the US Military!!!! Could you imagine!!

Actually I heard John Edwards has a pretty solid grasp on ideas of how to fight terror, quell the middle east and deal with developing "nuclear threats".

Hmmm...correct me if I'm worng but "squeeling like stuck pigs" is what the democrats have done for 4 years. Whine, whine, whine...complain complain complain, no ideas, no solutions, just complaining. Haven't you watched the Kerry campagn in action?

Sorry to stray from the topic Pirate Fan, I know it's your thread. I still think Edwards is their only option for 2008 (lol)
And I like Rudy from what I've seen. He was awesome at the RNC. I think I'd have to learn more about him though. A lot can happen between now and 2008 so who knows?

No problem Cm, I was actually more curious if the liberals had a candidate they really liked. I think Kerry is supported only because he is not Bush. Is there a democrat that would do a good job representing the Democatic party out there? On the Republican side, I like Rudy I guess, don't like Pataki at all, Absolutly hate Hilary!!! :scared I might have to leave the country if she wins just like Alec Baldwin and the rest of Hollywood promise each election if a Republican wins. :142lmao:

In the next 4 years, a law will be passed, that to run for President of America, you only have to live here for 20 years or more. They will do away with you must have been born here. That said, I will guess, the Governor of California, Arnold will run against Hilary.

i think sen. bayh(sp?) from indiana will be a good candidate for the dems.

imo, he seems to be one of the few dems. who actually understand the severity of the terrorist threat.

I'm reasonably sure that every democrat understands the severity of the terrorist threat. The difference is that their response isn't to invade a country that had nothing to do with terrorism.

kosar quote:"I'm reasonably sure that every democrat understands the severity of the terrorist threat."

imo, that is not true. there are many dems, like kerry who want to fight terrorism as a police action & not a war.

as far as iraq is concerned, i'm tired of debating the merits of invading that country. history will decide if it was the right thing to do.

I agree w/everything you've stated AR, up until about 3 mins ago. Didn't think it could happen, but Kosar made me see the light... "It would almost be worth 4 years of Hillary just to watch you guys squeal like stuck pigs."

I realize I may be postponing the inevitable, but the consequences of hillary in office are too severe, i.e.,

A dark horse would be Obama Barack as the Dem's are setting him up for bigger things by allowing him to give the Key Note address. Wouldnt by surprised if it's a ticket of hillary and Obama!

I think Colin Powell would make an excellent Democratic President....The most principled man in the Bush administration, although that isn't a very competetive prize

cheers
