What catches my attention...the 2 ND defenders w/ a pulse last year were Laws and Tom Zbikowski.

They're gonzo, so maybe ND in fact WON'T be that much better.

Can't post much right now, but their front 7 will be better than last year only becuase they've got CBs that can cover without a zone. Laws should have won the Heisman last year for his job on a such a listless team early in the season, but the young LBs that were getting the snaps at the end of the season were impressive. Love Zbikowski, but was always out of position - nobody has ever looked so active while getting nothing done.

Without getting too into depth, what I see in ND is a team that will likely struggle to run the ball and struggle to stop the run. Not exactly a recipe for success.

ND is young with their front seven on defense, but they haven't had this much talent since the L. Holtz days. ND has brought in three straight top ten classes and should see improvement on both sides of the ball. However, they are still young and 2009 might be a better season.
