Boys its 84 days away!!! Alot of studying to do until then haha... Let's get started
SEC East
1. Florida - Obviously you have to put the Gators here since they are the defending SEC Champs and Nat'l Champs. Not to mention Tebow is back... along with an arsenal of running backs and a very deep defense that was just nasty a year ago.
2. Georgia - The Dawgs are going to give Florida a run for their money in the East, but the Dawgs have a tough schedule and that might be a little too much for them. Replacing Stafford and Moreno wont be easier either. Richt is a great coach, he will have his boys ready.
3. South Carolina - think the ol ball coach needs to have a better than average year this year or he might be leaving. Garcia really needs to step up and be a leader on the offensive side of the ball. Defense is where the strength is for the Cocks and will keep them in games.
4. Tennessee - Im not really sure what to think about the Vols for the upcoming season other than Kiffin has pissed off alot coaches since accepting the position. Their defense, led by Eric Berry, will be good and keep them in games, but their offense will need to step up big time.
5. Vanderbilt - 2008 was a great year for the Dores but this is a new year. Vandy won alot of close games last year that just happened to go in their favor. Vandy's defense will be the strong part of their team. Last year's team who ranked 117th in total offense will more than likely be the same.
6. Kentucky - The Cats offense will definitely be the major concern this year. Hartline will be the starter at QB, but if the Cats want to score points and make the offense exciting they need to get Cobb in as many plays as possible. Hartline just isnt that good of a QB IMO. UK will be very strong on the defensive side of the ball.
1. LSU - The Tigers gained alot of momentum going into the offseason by destroying GT in the Chik-fil-a bowl and followed that up with an excellent recruiting class. Jordan Jefferson will be a big playmaker for the Tigers along with Charles Scott. LSU's secondary needs to take away the big pass plays this year.
2. Alabama - The Tide's D is going to be a force this year. They will be very tough to run on with Cody up front and McClain hovering behind him. McElroy will need to make an immediate impact on offense but I think he is better than JPW and will do fine.
3. Ole Miss - The Rebels have alot to be excited about this fall. Sneed is an excellent QB and runs Nutt's offense perfectly. On defense, the secondary is the weak spot. The one thing that might hurt Ole Miss is their scheduling. Their bye week is the 2nd week of the season and they will need it later on the season when its crunch time.
4. Arkansas - Arky's offense will be good this year with Mallett at QB. Their schedule, however, is absolutely brutal. Their defense will need to be alot better than last year if they want to steal some games on the road.
5. Auburn - Not real sure what to think about the Tigers this year. Their offense seems to be about the same while their defense will be good again. Chizik has his work cut out for him.
6. Mississippi State - The biggest question for the Bulldogs this year will be the QB. Dixon, Ducre, Elliot, and Conner will be the work horses in the backfield. The tandem of new receivers will also need to make an immediate impact. State's D will be solid this year just like years past. State will be a little better than everyone thinks this year. 2 years ago we were picked last and look what happened. Last year Ole Miss was picked last and look what they did.
