La Tech is the safe bet. TCU hasn't covered their bowl games lately. The scary thing is TCU has hit the under 7 times in their last eight bowl games.

I have a feeling this will be a high-scoring game. Now, TCU has been to this bowl twice before and also to San Diego for games against the Aztecs. I think this should be just like a regular game for them. Patterson has said the team is focused and wants to enter next season ranked for a great run in the Big XII.

La Tech will be without a big key to their offensive success. Creer is out. How much are they going to miss him? I'm guessing a lot more than TCU is going to miss WR Antoine Hicks. Hicks has been hit or miss all season. So, he couldn't be counted on anyway. I'm just sad to see him end his career by being suspended.

Going by a strictly trend angle, I'd say La Tech and the under are safe bets.

However, I like to live dangerously and will be betting TCU and the Over. :0002

Good luck.
