I voted early last week. There were 6 people in line to vote that day. I'm reading friend's Tweets and Facebook posts that they had to wait over an hour earlier today. Like Tim said, you can vote absentee or vote early at a designated polling place. There is NO EXCUSE not to vote.

Even thought I'm a Republican I don't care who you vote for, just vote!

I am amazed at how many people go on election day to vote and waste their time standing in line. No this isn't an idiotic yyz-rant that it is a waste of time. I haven't voted at an actual pollin place for a general election since the first time I was able to vote. Any other time it has been an absentee ballot. I just don't know why more people don't do this, or utilize the early voting that is out there.

I always vote early, only time I didn't I was in college and drove home election day after classes to vote for Bob Dole :0074

I voted in a new polling place since I moved this year. I actually had to color in squares?? The place was not equipped with electronic voting booths :wtf:

I'm 41, and I don't ever remember voting like this. Why the regression?? Weird... Only thing I can think is I live outside the city limits now for the first time in my life. I naively thought there were electronic booths all over the whole country since the hanging chad bs. Guess not.

Unless you're a moron, then stay home. Some of us would like to see the economy recover.

A union guy voting for a union buster calling others morons :142smilie it gets sadder every time i read it. Hysterically sad.

Where is the option for "not wasting my time "voting"?

It's hard to believe, in this day and age, people really think their vote means a goddamned thing.

After watching you get dicked over in Wisky just a short while ago, why not just say u are lazy and don't want to stand in line.

Can we get an anonymous poll so people can "cast their vote" on here? Pretty sure I know who the prevailing population here will vote for, but would be interesting anyway.

There is a poll on another site and i was stunned that Obama was winning it. Right now it is 225 to 199. The site has far more far right asshats than this one does. I guess sensible people just don't want to engage with guys like Hedgy, Skulnuts, and Pengy. 800,thousand jobs a month we were losing when this guy took office. He was handed a trillion dollar deficit when he walked in the door. Things are turning around slowly even after everything he tries gets blocked even stuff the other side created simply because he wants to try it. Yet somehow the other side has supporters after being handed a surplus and pissing it away and putting us in this mess to begin with. My rant is over

The best post on here so far. Voting no matter how cumbersome is our inalienable right. I cannot fathom how anyone would simply allow themselves to be governed by "whoever" and not voice their vote. I suppose if they didn't have the right to vote they would think differently.

Hope this helps,
FDC
