Also,
All of those that have signed up to play and have any feeling whatsoever on trades, whether you like them or not, here is what I am proposing.

I like to make trades. I can separate the two leagues into players that like to wheel and deal in on league and guys that don't dig them too much in another. That way we have those guys that like to deal all in the on league.

Ideas?

Hope that helps,
FDC

I like to trade and see trades go on, but I don't like ridiculous trades that go through because other owners are indifferent or don't care enough to look. I like an active league where people propose, respond and make counter offers as far as trades go. I'm fine with a trade getting voted down as long as 5 or 6 of the other 10 guys vote against it. The two guys involved in the trade don't count.

That is exactly what I propose. I also won't allow a team to throw it in either. I don't foresee any of that being an issue. All are competitive and active players and you will like it.

I want to get the draft order set as well because I want to allow for a full trading season. Meaning you can trade draft picks prior to the draft but they have to be approved and such. I have done this before and have actually seen guys trade away the first pick or move up in the first five rounds or so but I don't see it often. It is fun though if you can trade up or down to get a guy etc. The draft is an online draft though so everybody knows if you are trying to move up anyway. Most of the trades happen mid season though.

Hope that helps,
FDC

How is the draft order determined by site? or picked out of hat etc? thanks FDC and Bleeding

I put my name where I want it and then take money for the rest of them on the side.

I think the site has a random selection order scrambler thing. So I select "Draft Order" and it is set up and the emails and home page post are made etc...
It's all pretty much out there in the open bro.

We still need some players for league number two.

What the hell kind of wacko fantasy league did I just sign up for? All kinds of crazy fuckin scoring. At least it'll be a change from my other more vanilla leagues. Did we ever find out how much CBS charges to set up a league on their site?
And what is this shit:
League Entry Fee 136.
Add Fee 1
Drop Fee 1
Trade Flat Fee 5

I thought league entry fee was $125
I already paid BP :0008

Also, what weeks do the playoffs start and how many teams get in? I don't see that in the settings.

Lookin' forward to the season :toast:

We still need 7 more degenerates to join the second league.

I'd be interested to see the rules too.

No worries bro. I wasn't sure it it was 125 or 135 the league fees were 129 so initially I thought fuck it we will just make it 136 to cover the rise in fees but I figure it this way. I will only be out of pocket four bucks per league and I will do that in transactions so the fee is still just $125 but I get two free drops to make up the four bucks. I have changed it back to $125

Also it is three divisions per league so those three division winners and the first wild card definitely get in. I would like to get as many teams in the playoffs as possible and was considering a bye for the top two division winners. Then 3rd division winner and three wildcards play that first week of playoffs. So playoffs would start week 14.
second round week 15. Super bowl week 16. Toilet bowl week 17.

All of this is open to change if everyone wants it another way. I am certainly listening to ideas.

I only added a flex player and yardage bonuses for field goals and long runs and receptions. Makes it far more interesting. For instance, you get a bonus for a long td reception. That makes DeSean Jackson draftable now, in my opinion he wasn't before. I don't like vanilla. Besides, it is the same for everybody, think of it as something of a Saints organization thing with player bonuses.

I.e. a missed field goal is -3 points but if he misses from 51+ it is only -1. Its all performance based. That makes Neil Rackers that much more draftable too, go get em big boy. You should take Janikowski in the first round and you will run away with this thing.

I was honestly considering completion bunuses for QB's but thought that was too much.

I look at it this way, if I did add say three points for more than 25 completions, you now have a completely different draft. Drew Brees moves up as well as Stafford. QB's are now more evenly leveled with the need of a RB and WR early. But that is just me.

Besides, don't be bustin my balls until August as you are still poster of this month Mister. :toast: :toast:

Not tryin to bust any balls, so please don't take offense. :0074

I'm just bringin my usual ornery, take-no-prisoners, attitude as I do with all my fantasy leagues. You are the commish, so scoring is your call. It is up to me to adapt so bring all the wacky scoring you got :box2:

I will make suggestions from time to time, but that is only because I am a hardcore fantasy guy. First is, I find completion pts for QBs to be annoying. It adds way to much value to those top 3-4 QBs (brees, brady, etc.) and fucks shit up for everybody else who was not able to draft them. That is just based on my experience from last year when a new league I was in had that rule. Second, I am partial to decimal scoring. For instance, you have 1pt for every 20 yards a receiver gains. Nothing pisses me off more than when my WR gains 99 yards, but he only gets me 8pts because of that kind of scoring. Why punish a guy because he didn't reach a number divisible by 20? Why not make it .05pts for each receiving yard?

Again, not trying to complain, bust balls or tell you what to do, just my suggestions, that's all. Also, just curious, but why they discrepancy between pts for rushing yards and pts for receiving yards? Seems to de-value receivers a bit, even with the receptions bonus. Wondering what your thinking was on that.

But hey, none of this is my call and I'm cool with that. I'm just happy to be part of the league. :toast:

Oh, and I'm happy to chip in at the end whatever I didn't pay initially if we are going to be paying for transaction costs at the end of the season anyway. What is the price per add or drop? I missed that part in the rules.
