2012 golf outing

It had been a long time since Chad (Agent) and I attended a golf outing, so we decided at the last minute to make the treck up to Belterra. It was a great time! It was so nice to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones. Always good to link the real people with their internet personas. Most people were *who we thought they are*. There were A LOT of laughs and that is what makes these gatherings extremely fun. Thanks again to Joker for his excellent organization and to Jack for making it all possible! He truly does attract a great array of characters to the site. I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few. I know SixFive got some good ones and I'm sure Joker did too.

HANDICAPPER AND SIXFIVE

Handicapper, SixFive, and myself followed the golfers around on Saturday to try and maintain their disorder. After several holes, it became apparent that our attempts were futile, so we retired to the much cooler casino to play in a poker tournament, where SixFive was able to cash.

The funny part about these pictures is that most guys look in pretty good shape. I frequent another site where the guys are prolly 15 to 20 years younger and they are all huge braggers that look like a complete mess.

Great pictures!! I had a great time meeting you and Chad. One of the highlights of the trip for me without a doubt. I am still laughing about the pool thing, I think you and Chad were laughing as hard as I was. What a blast.

This is why these get togethers are so fantastic, there are so many cool people on here and everybody is so relaxed and happy. Just great. It still would have been better if we could have found those wild mushrooms!! Ha.

Jes and I were talking on the way home about all the great people we have met on here (including each other!). We were also talking about some of the guys we still want to meet and 5 of them replied in this thread! Would love to meet Old School, Cie Grant, Mr. Poon, Sponge, and IE!

It was awesome to see some old friends and meet some new ones! My face hurts from laughing at FDC. I got to play and ride 36 holes with Arrow. I've always felt like you could learn everything you need to know about someones character on the golf course. Arrow is a great guy! Thanks for dinner and all the drinks my man. :toast:

I also got to play 36 holes with Dogs That Bark which has been a wish of mine for quite a while. Very solid player with a great short game. Every time he chips I think it's going in. We had some great conversations out there and I wont forget it. His buddy "Swig" was one of a kind as well. Good golf course- good company!:00hour

Nole caught me in a drunken stupor and now thinks I'm a nice guy. Had a great dinner with him and almost choked on my Tiger Prawns about 7 times because the guy had me cracking up.

In other news: Bee- Tone- Ya is a cool dude. Bart is tall. The big dumb moose bet against himself at craps and nearly went broke- all with a shit eating grin on his face. Joker took my money at poker. Handicapper is a nut setter. Arrow ran a 10-3 up some guys ass. Nole's wife is hyper- aggressive. RollTide's black is breeding. Did I miss anything? Probably....great to see all you guys!!:00hour

Some things I thought funny or cool were;

Joker's Christopher Walken impersonation is awesome as is his Jaek impression and he hits the shit out of the ball.

Gary and his brother Nick must have very proud parents. It is one of the things I noticed before but am now sure is that they are both very well raised and just excellent people to hang around with. I can't say enough good things about both of them. Very personable and fun. There wives or soon to wife and wife I should say are two very sweet and beautiful women. Very cool. I had a chance to talk to both of them, more so Gary's wife because we sat close at dinner and if was funny because she is exactly what I expected for Gary if you were to pick the perfect girl for him. They seem very good together and that makes me happy. The Mroz family makes me happy, how's that for a statement.

Nole is a frigging riot. The poor guy catches more jokes than anyone and still manages to keep us all laughing.

Holy shit (Agent when I handed him about 58 items that I had in my pockets so I could dive in the pool) This one you had to see and I am smiling about it now because it was really a moment between Chad and I and shit just kept coming and we were both already laughing because we knew the pool dive was going to be a classic. One of my favorite memories)

Serious side;

Rolltide and I got to hang out together again twice and I count myself blessed every time that happens.

I am very glad I got to meet Agent, Hippo, Arrow, Be Tony, the Mroz wife and soon to be wife(I am hesitant to use real names on here but they know who they are!) Mrs. Nole seemed sweet, it was everything I could do to get Nole to even introduce us....sheesh.

Bohawk and JoBo are two very good people to know. Talking to them is like going to school man, just a wealth of information and stories and just really good people.

And Jack. I am and will continue to be proud and happy to call him my good friend.

While I know this is long and a bit mushy but it falls incredibly short of all the good things and great feelings I was left with from this and all the golf outings.

I don't know what the rest of the forum has planned for next year but if you never go on another weekend away again but one, this is the one I would make. Most fun ever. Just incredible mix of the most awesome people. In all honesty, I don't know how Chad and I weren't great friends from the get go, just goes to show how misunderstood people on here are and until you meet them, you never know. He is someone I will be sure to hang out with again, even if I have to crash their commune they are building....lol

Saturday- played with Bart and skipper as partners. After the 4th hole we found our teams proper shot rotation and it worked. Skipper down the middle and Bart.... He just smoked the cover off the ball from the tee box. Skipper kept us laughing with his Irish accent. Joker gave me a mulligan on the 1st tee.... I hope he gets a refund on the non explosive golf ball:lol:

Socially- I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone of you and your spouses. A fun time with great people. I have not laughed that much in a very long time. Thanks for the new name, sounds like a good Italian restaurant:142smilie

He cracked me up the entire trip man. That frigging guy.... Joker does a spot on impression of him too that is classic.
To Jack's credit he showed up for everything. Of course we were both pretty much late for everything also and his liver committed suicide the first night, but other than that he was there with bells on. He also puts up with my shit, when he is awake I mean, which is no easy task and he is a funny frigging guy. He has a very expressive manner that just cracks you up. His hair was nicely combed also.
