As much as I want state to win this game.. They are going to have a hard time. Ucla has a damn good defense, state did play like shit last night and ucla was hitting very well compared to rest or series.. But state got a few BIG breaks. The score could have been a lot worse.

Feel like the only way state will win is if they get some runs early bc ucla starting pitchers are better however state bullpen is deeper IMO. They'll put in Kenny powers if they get up and he's been unreal.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to bet the game but good luck man would love to see state pull this one off, my brother is an alum and at the game.

UCLA got all the breaks last night... None of UCLA's hits were hit very hard, but found the holes... State roped a bunch of balls that were caught... State just couldn't get anything going... But that's just baseball... Sometimes everything goes your way and sometimes it doesn't...

Wouldn't really say they caught all the breaks.. Sate catcher should have let that one bunt go foul(stupid mother fucker), that one runner they called out for ucla was actually safe at first just to name a couple..But anyways to address the batting.. State can def hit it better harder farther. However, this stadium is large and not so easy to go deep. all you have to do is drop it right past the infielders bc the outfielders are playing way back. That being said ucla just puts a bat on the ball pops it right into shallow outfield when state is swinging for the fenses every time. Now don't get me wrong I hate watching small ball pussyish players but ucla is just playing smart. State will have to adjust in a major way from last night to get the W.

UCLA turned a DP last night where the SS never touched the bag.

UCLA's first run happened because the guy swung a pitch that landed 3 feet before the plate and reaches first.

The second 2 runs came from a borderline pitch that was called a ball, but was called a strike multiple times throughout the night... next pitch was looped into right

That's just the way it goes though...

There were a couple missed calls and an inconsistent strike zone that impacted both teams, neither team had an advantage last night because of those items. LOB were 7 for UCLA and 8 for MS State, both teams had plenty of chances to plate more runs.
