Hello MadJackers,

My posts are few and not as detailed as some of you, but I truly enjoy reading as much on this site as I can. Majority of my time is spent in this NCAA Hoops forum but also in the NCAA Football forum during the season.

I'd like to know what some of you would consider a good winning percentage, or further where you would rank certain ranges.

This year, I started betting 1H / G / 2H for the same amount on games that I find intriguing. The "To Win" amount always remains the same but the vig does change, mainly due to me buying down 1/2pts.

Below are W-L-P results and Win % through yesterday:

1H 9 -5 64%
G 12 -6 67%
2H 15 -10-2 56%

NET 36-21-2 61%

In the long run, would you say betting the same amount always will NOT payout and I should slowly make the move to ranking games similar to Box and One (huge fan).

Looking forward to some feedback and as always, wish you all the best of luck. :0074

Dilly, this is a question that many people argue about. Some will say that you should bet a flat unit for all wagers. I think that is foolish as most people can hit a higher percentage on the plays they feel really good about.

I personally bet 2.5% of my roll on my regular plays and 5% on the ones I feel strongly about. This would be considered aggressive bankroll management as many experts say you shouldn't bet more than 2-3% on a play.

The most important thing is to practice sound money management and never deviate from it. Learning the discipline of never chasing is the most difficult thing to do in sports betting, and it's the biggest reason most people lose. It took me years to learn the lesson. Most never learn it. If you can do that, then you will succeed. Good luck.
