A whole new level of comedy.

I havent seen bad guys shoot more poorly since Austin Powers.

NSA is brilliant - 5 minutes after the EMP strikes, at 4am, they have 20 guys dressed rested and ready to go already there with brand new cell phones and a plan. Chloe already has a schematic for her plan and somehow got in with a gun when she was a temp when the day started.

And of course the mole -did people really not see that? There always is one and she was the only real option. But we are supposed to think she just left her post because he ex boyfriend called? I think she could have gotten someone on her team to handle that while she dealt with the priority.

The CTU mole. Yea that train is never late. I thought it was going to be Arlo. Was this season written by a bunch of fill in writers when the writers strike was going on a couple of years ago? This is just beyond stupid.

Sun Tzu seems a little sensitive as to how America's security is pictured on this show.

He must be the new director at the real CTU or something.
It is tv lighten up. We get it, everything is far fetched on the show but if you are just now getting that picture after 8 seasons then I got to question the choice of you being the real dircetor at CTU.

Us Houston guys take our security serious.

Sun Tzu better never watch "LOST" he'd go apeshit with the storylines on that show:scared :mj07:

My first chime in, finally got caught up this season. I was holding out hope that they FINALLY would not have a mole in CTU for once, and then they drop that in - which was really stupid, IMO. I have heard this is the last season of the show, they are going to make it into a movie franchise, which is probably a good idea. I love the show, and the Bauer character, but don't care for most of the actors this season, and the storyline just took a plunge for me. I guess I'd always watch, but I can't defend the easy mole angle they always rely on. It's really mind-numbingly stupid to go to that card EVERY year/day.

For the record Chadman.......only been a mole in CTU 5 times:SIB

Although maybe I'm just stupid, but this time I was actually surprised. I didn't think they'd go with "the mole" angle, so I actually was shocked when they did:scared

Maybe Sun Tzu needs a massage from Rene, maybe calm him down a bit:shrug:

Also.....this is season 8 for fucks sake, some stuff is going to repeat. And yes 10 percent of the show is unrealistic but 90 percent of the time it is accurate. And yes Season 1 was incredible but you can't have season after season after season be incredible now can you? 24 is a great show, nobody would argue that.

Well except for Sun Tzu:142smilie

Maybe a Chloe/Rene/Jack gangbang in the last hour will satisfy Sun Tzu:shrug:

I believe NBC is sniffing. It's true contract is up this year. The best rumor is HBO is interested. That whould be great. The things your allowed to do there would let the show grow.

I have heard rumblings that negotiations are going poorly with FOX as for picking up a 9th season.
Apparently NBC has made it known that it would love to pick up the series and run it before or after Heroes to try and keep both shows alive and dominate the night.

I think "24" will be back next year and FOX will cave with a 9th year as they don't want to see NBC turn it out.

NBC has already said no. Plus they show bigwigs about 4 years after the fact are admitting they have no more original ideas.

http://www.thrfeed.com/2010/03/fox-cancels-24.html

Lost and 24 have three things in common - their first seasons were fantastic television, the middle seasons were pretty much crap but you kept watching convinced it would get back to what it once was and it never does, and they will end the same week as tremendous underachievement of their potential.
