Go Habs Go!!
12 games on the board on Thursday... lots of work ahead of us! :yup

2 games to check for re: "Going against a home team coming back from a road trip of 4 or more games and playing the first game back with 1 or nil days rest", thrend brought about by IE2002 thanks to british bulldog.

They are:

Los Angeles @ Columbus
Boston @ NY Rangers

As much as I like this trend, I really think the Rangers will be strong. Bure and Leetch shoudl have energy to overcome the road trip, being back from long injuries. We'll see!

Oh yeah... 3 days left for those Canadians who have not contributed to their RRSPs yet! ;)

Good luck to everyone on Thursday! :)

I have a feeling that the roster move of bringing up Audette from the AHL and putting him with Koivu and Zednik will produce dividends. But they are facing a team that plays extremely well defensively so it won't be that easy. The Wild are also on a good run. Garon will certainly help the team more than Theodore has all year. Has Manny Fernandez played in Montreal yet in his career? Might be a factor as well. Early lean on the Habs... but I can tell you one thing trade... before I pick them I will make sure that I get as much info as I can! Hope this helps! :)

I disagree fanatic, wild aren't a good road team either.. If wild do win, which they won't, it will be by 1 goal...maybe your being a little biased has a leaf fan...just a thought;) :)

Minny's 4-4-1 in L9 road games, beating Ana, LA, Ott, Phi, lost to NJ 2-3, lost to Avs 2-3, tied Vanc 2-2. Habs' recent schedule is way softer than Minny's. Also Habs' PP unit is just atrocious right now, and unless you're NJ, you ain't gonna win without PP goals. JMHO:shrug: :D

Good luck tomorrow, fellas:D

Thanks to all of you, homer, Vicc and Wizzard! :)

I've been extremely busy today and did not have a chance to extrapolate my initial opinions. I have a few hours ahead of me right now perhaps I will have time to work on a few later games...

Don't have much time to do any write-ups...

Detroit (-169)
The Wings are playing much better lately. If CuJo loses this game tonight, it would be a missed opportunity to boost his confidence. I think he will live up to the task tonight. The Leafs played good as well aside that loss to Nashville. If the Leafs are down early, I don't think they will be able to bounce back.

San Jose (+195)
The Sharks are in good condition to surprise the Canucks tonight and stop their unbeaten streak to 14. They are playing better hockey since returning from their long road trip. The offense is clicking, guys like Selanne, Noland and Damphousse are producing again. They are still mathematically in for the playoffs and I guess they still believe they can make it.

The Canucks suffered a tough break with Cloutier's injury and are approaching as somewhat of a preparation for him for the playoffs. The time off will be good for him, he will rested mentally. I have a feeling this kind of attitude will lead them to be a little soft in the next couple of games. The Sharks are hungrier tonight and they still are a good team, remember? ;)
