Go Habs Go!!
Funny matchups tonight:

Nas-Buf: Two bottom-end teams who are playing well of late.

Ott-Dal: Two top teams in each conference fighting for bragging rights tonight.

SJ-LA: Two underachieving teams coming off big wins trying to make it to the All-Star break on a positive note so they can turn their season around.

I have a feeling that these games will dictate alot of what's coming up for these teams in the 2nd half...

Will be back with some thoughts and picks.

Thanks guys!

Here is one pick for now:

NASHVILLE +.5 (+100)
I like the fact that Greg Johnson is expected to play tonight. I also like the fact that the Preds came back from a 2 goal deficit to beat a well-rested Khabibulin.

At the time of my post, Dallas was constantly pressuring Ottawa's D and getting lots of chances. Dallas also had undisciplined penalties, as opposed to Ottawa caused penalties, which kept them on the shotboard. Did not watch the 1st very much... was watching "Groundhog Day" on TBS! What a great flick!

I feel that you are a very devoted Sens fan! They are lucky to have fans such as you. Alot of fans in Montreal criticize the team for no reason...

Very true! Montreal has so much tradition and an incredible amount of pressure of living up to expectations. Julien will get Montreal back on top as long as the fans are patient. Give him 2 years. I truly believe he is exactly what they need. Too bad they forced Vigneault out of Mont as I thought he was a great coach. Nice night so far!

Thanks Horns & Chenker. Things are running smooth again.

Horns:
I really liked Vigneault also and I also think Julien is a good fit right now. Many of our young players on the team have been coached by him, which helps them adapt to his system. My heart still believes that they will surprise lots of people... this year. We will have to see how it builds up and how it will hold up in the low points of the 2nd half. Warning: exciting hockey is in preparation!

Thanks Spock! Glad you erased your early loss with your big NBA wins!

There is nothing wrong with taking a break Spock... I took a 6-day "leave of absence" and have had a 11-0-1 record since coming back. I will make it 12 wins if SJ wins against LA.

I'm sure you will get back into your winning ways... Being a memeber for just over 3 weeks now, I am really impressed with your views and picks. Just make sure you don't force it too much... erases the good work you have done. :)

thanx for the nice words ..

actually it has been getting busy at work also .. and since my clients pay my company a ton of money per hour they expect me to work all the time

oh well .. reminds me of the book "Great Expectations" :D

one of the biggest mysteries is :

there has not been even a single day when I have done good at both hockey and basketball ..

every single day:

If i make money in nba i lose in hockey

If i make money in nhl then i lose in nba

luckily so far the profit has been more than losses.

Gotta work that out ..

Nice run and keep it going
