WB's College Football Picks 2017-18
Welcome back to all the cappers for yet another College Football Season here at MJ's!

Starting off with my PROPS Over/Under for wins picks: Conference Championships/Bowl Games do not count!

All plays are 1 unit -

Duke Under 5 1/2 -150 - Yet another QB for the Blue Devils in a conference where the better teams just get better and Duke just stays the same in football

Florida Over 8 -150 - Gators in a tough repeat of last year have a battle at QB and some talent coming back from Mac's first year recruiting, he knows how to pull the strings and the Gators at home are tough.

Florida St Over 9 1/2 -150 - Noles just plug in new players to take the place of the departed and Francois should have a better year at the QB spot, Jimbo's troops should get 10 wins.

Georgia Over 8 -175 - Bulldawgs just came off an 8 win year, they should get 2 more with Eason at QB.

Georgia Tech Over 6 1/2 -125 - Rambling Wreck just get the wins they need and are tough to defend on the run.

Indiana Under 6 -125 - Hoosiers still trying to find a groove in the BIG10 and just ain't cutting it on the gridiron.

Iowa Over 6 1/2 -125- the annual Kirk Ferentz can't do it talk again just churn out some unsung names and get the job done, they had 8 wins last yr with Beathard, they get at least 7 this year.

Louisville over 9 -125 - Heisman returnee and potent offense in lackluster "D" conference, Cards can play tenacious "D" and have weapons to get to the top this year.

Nebraska Over 7 1/2 -165 -Huskers with new QB Tanner Lee who started at Tulane and have depth in the key skill spots and OL should be healthy, they had 9 wins last yr and should get 9 before Bowl season.

Oklahoma St Over 9 -105 - One of nations best kept QB secrets back and Gundy just finds players to get wins.

Oregon Under 8 -130 -Taggart has a huge hill to climb where Ducks got just 4 wins LY and I don't see a 4 win improvement in this conference with what's back for the other teams.

Penn St Over 9 1/2 E - Nittany Lions have a chance to make a statement this season and need all their wins at home and grab some on the road to get 10 overall.

Pitt Under 7 1/2 -140 - Suspensions and lost key weapons from '16 will hurt Panthers here, looking at 7 win season max.

Tx Tech Under 5 1/2 -130 - Cliff will be looking for a new job after the season, 4 to 5 wins max for Red Raiders

UCLA Over 6 1/2 -165 - One of nations acclaimed top QB prospects in Rosen and coming off just 4 wins from last year, hot seat for Mora and it's time to put up or shut up for him and Rosen.

USC Over 9 1/2 -175 - lots of talk about Darnold being #1 pick? Great drive after first 3 gms LY? Trojans have the recruits and always find ways to get wins in non-conference games, no Alabama this year, should get 10 before PAC12 Conference title.

Washington St Over 7 1/2 -125 - should be interesting season, good chance to get 9 wins this year with seasoned QB and their wacky offensive style under Leach.

W Va Over 7 -130 - even with Grier at QB this conference sucks and home games are key for wins.

Been spinning my wheels the past few weeks capping, losing 25 wagers by 1/2 to 2 pts which is ridiculous!!

Hit my Total of the Year by halftime thanks to W Kentucky offensive show in the 1st half LW vs Charlotte who'll be looking for a new HC soon!!

Onward!!

Under 65 1/2 ULL/Ark St (1 unit) - Unders in CFB have been potent this season and Sun Belt action heats up with two of the better teams going head 2 head, my # is 70 and Sag # is 68 1/2 and this line opened 64 and public pounded line to 65 then back down and it rollercoastered the last 3 days. Expecting a 35-24 type game here!!

Over 49 WK/ODU (5 units)-Hilltoppers offense is crazy good and ODU stop troops are bad folks, have this one in the upper 50's here.

SMU -7 (1 unit) - Mustangs just better offensively and Cincy will wear down 2H.

N Texas +3 1/2 (1 unit)

Miami-F -16 (1 unit) - rebound game here as Syracuse beat highly ranked Clemson LW so confidence will be high for the Orange however MF defense may just cause a few turnovers to get the backdoor cover here.

Coastal +24 1/2 (1 unit) - App St is good and at home however CC can get the BDC here.

Maryland +24 1/2 (1 unit) - Terps just enough "O" to keep this one under 4 TDs.

UNC +21 (1 unit) - Heels are having their worse season under Fedora and may just show up vs VT

Kansas +39 1/2 (1 unit) - Jayhawks are bad folks but they kept it close at home LY, TCU can name their score which may keep this under the 7 TDs.

Rice +21 (1 unit) - Roadrunners are better TY than in the past but Owls could keep this one respectable.

Over 66 UCF/Navy (1 unit) - Expecting a shootout

Navy +7 1/2 (1 unit) - UCF could have troubles handling Navy offense here. North travel spot.

Idaho +16 (5 units)- Mizzou favored over a smaller conference foe? Ok. Sign me up!!

Kentucky +10 1/2 (1 unit) - Wildcats got Bulldogs LY and revenge spot for MSU however KY not playing games and will bring the running attack.

Over 54 USF/Tulane (5 units) - both teams with offensive numbers to get into the upper 50's/60's here.

Tennessee +34 1/2 (1 unit) - this has blowout written all over it but Tennessee might get the BDC here, watch the line if it hedges up I may increase this to a 5 unit play.

Baylor +9 (1 unit) - Bears in prime time shape to get home game vs Mountaineers.

Over 64 Okie St/Texas (1 unit) - Don't see the "D" for either team showing up in Austin.

Over 52 Auburn/Ark (1 unit) - Hogs are bad and got beat by 53 LY, they could keep this one closer but expecting Auburn to put up at least 42 here and Hogs 14.

Fla St -6 (1 unit) - Revenge spot and at home, U o L not gelling like Magellan this year, expecting FSU "D" to get the turnovers.

USC +3 1/2 (5 units) - Trojans QB and arsenal just a tad better than Golden Domers who are playing out of their mind vs the also rans.

Over 69 ISU/TT (5 units)- Cyclones improved under 2nd yr HC and they torched Red Raiders LY, Tech gets the revenge spot here, 48-42!

Utah -9 (5 units) - Expecting Utes to crush Sun Devils who shut down Huskies LW. Utes off tough beat to USC and at home in the mountain air should get to ASU QB a few times here.












Game of the Year: Minnesota -13 (10 units) - Expecting Gophers to make a statement game here vs Illini program still searching for confidence under Lovie Smith, Minn 45 Illinois 21.

Thanks Punch & Mr C, for the feedback.

Here's my thinking on the Tenn/Bama game, Bama has next week off then they have LSU. They will play their regulars the first half and if they are up like 35-0, they will rest their starters in the 2H, especially on offense. UT sucks!! It's not all Butch Jones' fault however he is the main honcho so he is the fall guy in the program for being so bad. His assistants are clueless on who they recruit and they have no depth at any skill positions and they lost some studs from LY, especially Barnette. The problem is, you have the recruit in the SEC and you have to do it nationally and UT has not done that. UT will put up a fight for pride and whom they are playing, they won't play like deer in the headlights, my numbers come out to a 42-10 game, that's a 32 pt spread, the line is? 34 1/2 and going up? It should have opened at 36 1/2.

I'm not a big TT player as you've probably noticed OWENS, same with half times unless something bites me.

Great to get another 5 unit win last night. Feeling a turnaround to these crazy numbers the computer geeks/books are putting out these days.

Can't figure out what has happened to my capping ability but it stinks and I'm officially done after today's NFL plays go through.

My apologies for the gross GOY picking Minnesota, I knew I should have pulled the plug when Row the Oar boy decided to change QBs and go with freshman Croft who can't pick his ass!! I had other games I looked at and only 3 of them came through but I didn't even play them, so there, I'm DONE!!
