Last night was the first night I started posting my plays, here's the recap:

CLIPPERS +8 L -5.5
KINGS +2 L -3.3
BLAZERS -3.3 F/H +5
BLAZERS -7+5
KINGS -3.5 2/H -5.5

Went 2-3 -4.3

Here's the card for tonight:

LAKERS -2.5 F/H (5*) -- Since Shaq's return the Lakers have been jumping on people early and fading down the stretch. I look for the same tonight. Although, I think Phil will have the boyz play much better in the second half so I am also playing them for the game but not as strong.

LAKERS -5 (4*)

PISTONS -3.5 (5*) -- Pistons are a good young team that plays solid D and just beat Toronto by 13 on Monday. Toronto is very average w/out Vince. If Stackhouse shows up they should cover easily.

NETS -8.5 (3*) -- Spock pretty much sums up this match-up with the Knicks. I was leaning towards NJ anyway and his write-up made me pull the trigger.

Opinions and discussion are welcome,
As ALWAYS PRAYIN' likes to say, let's take it to the man tonight!!

good 2 see u were on the nets ..

b careful of playing lakers right now .. they are not looking to destroy teams and other than shaq and kobe not much support. If one of them does not show up trouble. Also under is usually good play in games of lakers where the other team is also defensive minded .. like todays game with charolette.

Dont know what Phil has in mind but he is not driving the lakers hard and till i see that i will stay away from them.

Cheers !!!

Thanks Spock, appreciate the advice. I don't think Phil, however, wants to have to get the boyz ready to play. I think that Phil wants the players to act like professsionals and give a shit and play every night, regardless of the opponent.
This however, does not always happen. A quick glance at the Lakers performance against sub-500 teams is attrocious. Losing to the pre-Rose Bulls, twice. The Lakers are an extremely cocky bunch. They think that they can beat these loser teams without giving full effort. It is exactly this thinking that has come back to bite them in the ass. I thought that those bad losses had taught them a lesson and that we were going to see full effort. This is the reason I played them tonight.
When and if the Lakers really come to play, and I mean play some freakin' defense, they can destroy everyone. Let's just hope that if this trend occurs we can all cash in before Vegas wises up. Watch out though, this trend could get here sooner rather than later.
