Here is what I got out of my early look. Good luck.
-Portland has won 7 straight while the Raptors have lost 9 straight. Raptors won the previous meeting in Portland.
-New Jersey has struggled without McCullough, narrowly beating Charlotte at home after falling behind by 23 and losing by 19 at Charlotte. Iverson and Mutombo cleared the air in their fued at practice and this is a huge game for Philly, who still believes they are the best team in the east.
-Boston won both meetings so far with the Hornets this season. Charlotte is playing the best basketball in the east while the Celts have lost 3 straight. Wesley returns for Charlotte tonight.
-Seattle has won eight straight on the road, but play their third game in four nights. Knick have lose six straight, and they still have nothing inside. Seattle is the type of team the Knicks can hang with because they are mainly a perimeter team also.
-Magic have won two of three over Detroit, 5 of 6 overall and 7 of 9 overall. Detroit has won 6 of 7 and 8 of 10. Stackhouse sat out last game with a shoulder injury but he will play tonight.
-Spurs have lost three of four and are playing terrible perimeter defense. Wolves may be the best team in the league after stealing Jackson from the incompetent Warriors. They have won all three games with him playing the pivot.
-Collins has revamped both the offense and defense of the Wizards to deal with injuries. Bulls are back to normal, having lost two straight by double digit margins. Bulls play their third in four nights and fifth in eight nights.
-Nuggets have yet to win since trading Van Exel. Memphis was blown out last night in Utah. Nuggets have won all meetings this season.
-Webber seems to love to crush his former team, whose fans cheered an injury to him when he played his first game back after being traded away. Warriors have played much better since handing the reigns to Arenas. Kings have lost 3 of 5.
-Pacers come off the tough overtime loss where they melted down in the last minute last night in Phoenix. Lakers return home from a 4-1 east coast trip with just one day of rest, traditionally a great fade position.
