I haven't contributed any winners over here in a while so I figured I'd at least put up some stuff I gleaned in my handicapping today.

-Philly is in a 3 in 4 (non b2b). Last time they were in that scenario they had a disappointing home tie to lowly Carolina. Washington has had two straight high goals against numbers but last game against Boston Kolzig got a piece of 2 of the 3 first period goals. My point is they were softies rather than being defensive breakdowns where he was beaten cleanly.

-Washington is an atrocious 8-19 vs. teams with winning records this season, including losses in their last 5 vs. playoff positioned teams.

-Believe it or not the 'Canes are really playing well and Weekes is hot. Problem is, C-Bus has scored 2+ in their last 5 while Carolina has not scored over 2 in 8 of 9. You wanna give a half puck with numbers like that?

-Florida has a 4.6% shooting last 5 and Rangers are 4.5% against. If you are a contrarian, you just *know* the Panthers are gonna score 4 on 18 shots tonight. Florida is in a 3 in 4 (non b2b) and a situation where they have played *2* more games than the Rangers over the last 10 days.

more to come in a few mins.......

-Preds are obivously smoking and are 2-0 this season when their line is -200 or higher. Interesting thing is, though, they are just 4-9 this year when playing with 2 days of rest and they have lost 2 of their last 3 in that scenario.

-I don't think you could get a wider chasm of hot and cold goaltending in the Belfour (cold) vs. Salo (hot) matchup. I can't think of one good reason to bet Toronto. Leafs are 0-3 outscored 5-15 in their last 3 away. Edmonton is also 2-0 this season in the series.

-Major warning in Colorado. Avs in a 4 in 6 plus coming off the great roadie with one day of rest. 'Yotes scored 3+ in 5 of 6 while the Avs have scored 3 or less in 4 straight. Phoenix looks, "I'd say strong to, uh, quite strong," tonight.

-Detroit in a b2b, 3 in 4, 4 in 6 and 6 in 9 scenario. In other words, they are tired. Wings have held the opposition to 2 or less in 9 of 12, Kings in 8 of 12. Wings had 3-2 scores in last b2b and last 3 in 4. Kings had a 3-2 score last time they played the last home game before a roadie. If you think I think you should play under at +120, you are right. Problem is the Wings have not gone under 5 in *14* straight. WOW. Still, I like the play.
