I just don't understand your thinking here tao and doc. she was the one deciding if the taser would be used on her. you're told three times to get out of the vehicle or it would be used on you, your choice. I think she realizes now that she made the wrong choice. end of story.

I disagree. That officer had already decided to use the taser before he ever went back to the car.... She was giving him lip and he didn't like it. He was just waiting for her to give him an excuse...which she did, dumb bitch.

While I don't condone her acting like a fool, I still think that he was a little quick to use the taser.... Just my humble opinion, fellas. :)

I got a feeling if it was some big dude ......, many here would get past feelings of possible abuse of power.

Exactly! Forget the racial/religious stuff.... If it were simply a big man, it would be a different story in my book.... At least then the officer could say that he felt threatened.... If he claims that here, I don't think that I could buy it.

He's only allowed to use "reasonable force under the circumstances" and in these circumstances I just feel like he went over the top....

Cops have a hard enough job without people giving them a hard time. The cop asked her to get out, she thought she was untouchable and didnt and got tased.. Cops have a hard time sometimes because there are people who ENJOY to give cops a hard time. Well, it ended well IMO. No physcial beating, a shock for the bitchy women and the issue was resolved.

I bet you the lady wont give the next cop attitude when he says hes going to tase her. The lady sounds like a cat in heat or being skinned alive.

totally agree chuck,

I have a daughter 22 and a son 19, both were brought up to respect the police and their elders. they would have been out of the vehicle the second he asked them to. the situation was completely avoidable.

bottom line.........if anybody has a taser gun pointed at ya...and they warn ya 3 times that they are going to use it....then fu** LISTEN TO THEM!!!

ummmm........let me see.....if I was pulled over by a cop with a taser gun pointed at me and he warned me three times he was going to use it......then I'd sure as hell listen to him! Doesn't matter if he's right or wrong....can clear that up later.....but to not listen...that's just stupid...this chick got everything she deserved....all she had to do was LISTEN!!!!

"the bunker"
just goes to show you that the cops can`t win, regardless of what they do....

if they had physically subdued her, these lawyers would be looking for her phone number...

you want to have an orderly, civilized society?...or should people just do what they want when they want to...

i agree with ripken...just obey the officer.....you get warned...3 times...you get tazed or roughed up....your choice...

i`d say the chances of the woman getting seriously hurt were greater in a scuffle with the officers than by being tasered....that`s the purpose of tasers...they make it easier to subdue the perpetrator and don`t inflict permanent damage....

anyway,i don`t understand why the officers should have to roll on the ground because some woman thinks she`s above the law....

lawyerspeak...

...maybe we should also give every high school teacher a cattle prod?!?!?!?!

Little Johnny, you've been told three times.... ZAP! :scared

...guys, don't get me wrong...she should have done what he told her to do and I don't condone her actions, but in my opinion you'd have to be very threatening to the officer before he should be allowed to electricute you.... she wasn't threatening him and he used too much force under the circumstances. guess we'll just have to disagree on this one.

...my dad used to say that you could take the finest man in the world and give him a gun and a badge and in 6 months, he'll be sorry as hell. I think that he meant that the authority that goes along with the badge goes to some officers' heads...and IMHO this is a great example.

Dont mean to knock your old man but
This is the stupidest thing i have ever read..

4 of my very good friends are police officers and have been for years. All are fine gentlemen with families. You wouldnt believe the bull shit these men put up with on a daily basis. I suggest you go on a few police rides like i have, and you might have a bit more respect for what these men get out of bed and do every single day.

Cant stand it when people hate cops until they need one...

I cant believe this thread is causing such a debate???? Personally i thought it was funny a hell... not that some dumb bitch got tazed.. but her over reaction to it..

What the hell else was he supposed to do??? What if she was on the cell to some gang banger who shows up with shot guns? unlikely but you never ****ing know.. These people put their lives on the line every time they walk up to a car, and i dont think showing a little respect like following a simple order is to much to ask!

Yeah, I think the same thing when I hear people bash attorneys. ;)

I've also got friends that are police officers...and some of them agree with the old man. :scared :)

...let's face it, some people abuse the power given to them...that's all that he was saying...not all, but some. :)

edit: BTW, there have been very few times that I needed a cop...at which time they must have all been on break...but they sure seem to be omnipresent when I wish they were somewhere else. :mj07:

Just wanted to add that as he tazed her she was telling whoever she was on the phone with her exact location. If I was in his position I would have been nervous too! That is the first thing I thought.
