Where it goes way out of bounds is in quoting Obama:
McCain ad: Obama says Iran is a "tiny" country, "doesn't pose a serious threat." Terrorism, destroying Israel, those aren't "serious threats"?
Here's what Obama actually said, in a speech in Oregon in May:
Obama, May 18: Strong countries and strong presidents talk to their adversaries. That's what Kennedy did with Khrushchev. That's what Reagan did with Gorbachev
............................................................

This works both ways, and that changing quotes and leaving off words will bite McCain right in the ass when the dems do it back.

They got alot of money they been saving up to run some ads. Its just a wee bit early at this stage. No one remembers these until it gets closer to Nov 3.

What can you take away from the speech? It wasnt one of his better ones. People will remember the huge crowd, the fireworks and the columns.. nothing from his speech was noteworthy.

did we listen to the same speech ??? I found note worthy, Obamas lack of reverence and the shots he took at mccain.... get the english version..... by most accounts, you missed a great one..............I'm surprised you took the time to watch.....I thought most people that visit political forums like this, were reading a book at the time of this speech.....

Typical neocon response. It's pretty obvious Derrick has his TwoLips planted on the elephant's ass.

That speech signaled the end of Dukakis/Gore/Kerry softball politics from the Democrats. Obama came out swinging and pummeled McCain with his own words. Even if hard-line neocons are unwilling to admit it, they know the Democrats now have a candidate that hits back and hits hard.

I'm sure TwoLips will be back in a week to tell us how McCain's speech was one for the ages. He'll be partly right, because I'm sure it'll be one for the aged.

In Past if a convention drew 15 millon they were happy. But 38 million is just out of the park.

Eh... population growth.

Easy for ratings to rise when there are 2 billion more idiots running around this planet than during the last election.

Obama hits hard? It's pretty bad when your VP, the former vice president and one of the strongest democrats all say that he is unprepared to be president. Sure things are said in primaries, people go at each others policies.. but I have never heard anyone say another member in their party isn't qualified :mj07: Spin that however you would like democrats.

Imfeklhr funny answer when they were talking about viewers here. There is about 300 million of us. Up about 25 million since 1980. I didn't say you should vote for him. But give guy some credit. Im still pissed Old John beat out Mitt. But if he had taken him for V P I would have voted for him. Even if I think Old John just don't cut it.
