This will be the last time for five months to make a
wager on a NFL game.

The 38th Super Bowl to be played in Houton, Texas in less than two weeks now.

The time to start the preparation on this wager was yesterday.
Just because we have extra time, does not mean its time
to sit around playing tiddly winks and drinking beers.
There is much work to do here. No good decisions can be made this early.

The 38th Super Bowl play must be made with thoughtfull introspection & professionalism if we are to succeed and get
the cash.

Everything we have learned this past NFL season will assist
us with making this wager.

The winning Super Bowl play is at hand.

The smell of victory is in the air.

" Undrafted out of college and a benchwarmer for years, Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme has at last proven himself an NFL-grade player.

Brady can become the youngest two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, faster even than greats like his boyhood hero, Joe Montana.

Panthers coach John Fox has led to the Super Bowl a team that two years ago was 1-15.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick, is gaining recognition as one of the game's best, and perhaps most misunderstood, coaches. "

This is as good as a place to start as any.

The haters and the bashers will come in for a visit.

Its to be expected and I am used to them by now.

The plan for victory is near.

Carolina

No tracked statistics in the top 3 or bottom 3 of the league.

New England

New England are the toughest team to score on in the league, allowing just 14.9 per game.

New England allow the third least rushing yards in the league at 89.1 per game.
.........................................................................

I am excited about this game.

I am already getting the feeling that I own it.

I am almost sure I know the team who is the public play.
I have said this before and it does not mean the play will
win the wager, but I do not like playing on the same side
as the public. It has worked out well for me to identify the
public play for myself.

It is too important to overlook, but its just one part of the
whole picture of the game decision.

Anyone that has a idea of the total play please post your thoughts. I would appreciate it.

The total on this game is 38.

I am not playing a total but will need over and under thoughts.
That will provide good information to cap the side.

The side is where this victory will come.

While leading the Carolina Panthers into the Super Bowl, quarterback Jake Delhomme has been busy indulging his interests in Thoroughbred racing.
Delhomme claimed filly Ruthy Red for $7,500 at Delta Downs on January 10, hours after the Panthers beat the St. Louis Rams in a divisional playoff game. His father, Louisiana trainer Jerry Delhomme, will train Ruthy Red, a stakes-placed four-year-old daughter of Forty Won.

"Jake was more excited about the filly than he was about winning the game," Jerry Delhomme told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Jake Delhomme owns seven horses, including She Hate Me, a two-year-old Lord Carson filly named after Panthers kick returner Rod Smart, who was nicknamed "He Hate Me" when he played in the XFL.

. . . maybe wager on a dog sometime, then.

This stuff keeps getting better and better. C'mon, no need to post any articles, just throw out the New England play that you know you're going to play. Just like me and the rest of the squares.

Uh Bobby there is only two NFL teams remaining. I know for you
its a toss up. It is for most people you call squares.

Most people that lose money that is.

You do what you want with your stake, I refuse to risk my money that way.

You seem to care so little about victory that you don't take your wagering seriously ?

Good luck either way though.

Fully intend to drag it out for as long as possible.

My idea of posting a thread like this is mostly for new people and some people that know me by now. I never stop learning as I am dedicated to anything I attempt to do in my life.

Trying to learn the logic about why a play is made is the hardest thing to get from people in here
How they make their wagering decisions can be a close kept secret . They feel like if they tell too much then they are giving up their edge known only to them.

Someone posted this one time in madjacks and I wrote it down and kept it.
" Some people are naturally great handicappers because they can just see the things they need to look for and can feel that a team is going to either overachieve or underachieve on any given day. That natural talent, combined with hard work, dicipline and a very thick skin, is what money making handicappers are made of." These are the people that I look for. They are hard to find.

I share info and people want to tell me to just shut up and post my play. Its kinda ironic.

Its so much easier to just post a play and record.
But then many of us have been bashed for not giving reasons for our plays.
....................................................................

The next person that comes in this thread and asks me
to stop posting information, or I am posting too much,

I promise you that I will stop and will have no further interest in posting in any more Super Bowl threads or posting any play.

Of course I will make my own play as I love the Super Bowl game.

This gets to be too much like work sometimes.

So clemson25, SaltyDog, Bobbychips, edludes whoever.

Come on in .....

Scott,

Okay ..that's a great explanation ! Makes sense ! We all know your a good capper....I respect that you are taking the time in your decisions. And you are right, there is always something to be learned here ! Like i said, I will be peeking in on your thread 'cause i do like your capping.

I just wanted to say that from my standpoint, this is just another game for investment and should be treated no different than any other wagering prospect. In my observations , i've noticed that bettors seem to go heavy and hard on The Super Bowl, when they really should keep it within the reality of being just another game.

UNLESS, there is a decided edge in this game that warrants a "slightly" higher percent of investment. Because the true reality is there will be more games after this one.

I'll be out in Vegas for this and looking at the " FIELD GOAL " Proposition !

Good Luck Everyone !

Royal Oak, Michigan, a Detroit Suburb
Teams that have won the super bowl and then reappeared within the next 3 years: 10-4 s/u amov +12.5 points

vs. team playing in first super bowl ever 3-0 amov +15.3

vs. team that has not won a super bowl last 3 years 6-0 amov 12.8

amov = average margin of victory
