Thirty-nine people from 24 different countries became citizens of the United State during a ceremony Friday afternoon in Jefferson City.
It was the first naturalization ceremony to take place at the Christopher S. Bond United States Courthouse, and included people from countries such as Lithuania, El Salvador, Bosnia, Mexico and Taiwan.
