I dont watch much hockey, but seriously what does a 4-1 lead equate too in the major sports like football, baseball and basketball.

I'm thinking like this.

Football - Goal equals TD so 21 point lead.

Basketball - Goal equals 6 points so 18 point lead

Baseball - Goal equals 2 runs so a 6 run lead.

Thoughts?

Not even so much that it was a 4-1 lead, but it was a 4-1 lead late in the game and a 4-2 lead with less than 90 seconds to play.

Never has a team blown a 3 goal lead in the third period of a game 7.

3 goal lead is much more than 18 point swing in basketball. Much more than a 6 run lead in baseball. In both sports you can pick up multiple scores in a single event; ie 4 with a grand slam and 6 three pointers. I think 21 points in the 4th quarter of a football game is fair. For this scenario, a team drives to score with 2 minutes left, then gets 2 consecutive onside kicks and scores off both.

On the course!
It equates to about 1.06%

I think Boston knew what the 6/7/8/9 players were doing, and took advantage of it, but it was only a slight advantage, so it really didn't mean anything.

In your jest you are correct. They pulled the goalie and had a man advantage.

Wait...it was only ONE man. Not 5 or 6!

You're wrong! There was no advantage in pulling the goalie! Both teams still have 6 players on the ice.
