Yankees -130 over TORONTO 200/154

Last year Lidle showed great promise vs. poor teams but was not as solid early in the season or vs. good hitting. Lefty Pettite should give the big lefties Hinske and Delgado problems. Key bullpen guys Hammond, Osuna and Acevedo are superior to Politte, Tam and Escobar for the Jays.

Colorado +1 1/2 +100 over HOUSTON 200/200

Astros have not faced Jennings thought Kent does have a history of success vs. him. Astros bullpen does not have good lefties outside of closer Wagner which could be a problem vs. Helton and Walker. Rockies seem to have the better bullpen depth of the two with Jones, Reed and Jiminez.

Seattle +1 1/2 -160 over OAKLAND 200/125

This price is at the very limit of what I will pay but for this game I think it is worth it. Several key bats for Seattle have a history of success vs. Hudson while most key Oakland bats have struggled vs. Garcia. M's have the stronger bullpen and also they have to have a chip on their shoulder over how the A's are everyone's pick to win the division.

Keyser, I can accept criticism but I think the history of Pettite vs. the Jays is deceiving. Out of this year's Jays lineup, Stewart, Delgado, Wells, Phelps and Huckaby (only 5 of 9) were in the lineup for the second loss Pettite had vs. the Jays last season and only Stewart, Delgado, Wells and Hinske (who came in as a pinch hitter) played in his first loss to the Jays. Pettite was also coming off an 118 pitch, 31 batter shutout in the second loss.

Also, remember that Pettite has won his last 2 opening games and given up 1 run in 13 innings in those two outings. Lidle has lost his last two opening starts giving up 11 runs in 7 2/3.

Nick-

No criticism intended, just sharing additional information with whomever visits this post........I by far am not a believer in Lidle, he has already done his Andy Warhol time. I will say that I am not sold on the Yanks pen, and I don't see Pettitte going the distance in the first outing. Jeter being out will hurt, but not as badly when you have 12 other All-Stars in the lineup.......Also had to do a double take when I saw you post a favorite.....I am a member of the MadJacks team, I am not here to rip anybody that shares information, especially someone who has been around as long as you have. Best of luck with your play.:)

Sounds good, Keyser. I probably just took it the wrong way. You are definitely a valuable member and I appreciate the extra info in my post.

After last season going so poorly for me, I am looking more at low priced faves this season and dogs on the run line. I know a much higher percentage will be needed for me to post the kind of profit I am looking for, but after looking back at last season I decided that this is worth trying.

Adding one more:

San Francisco vs. SAN DIEGO over 7 1/2 -115 200/174

Schmidt had a great postseason but his april results are questionable. Eaton has a great arm but only made 6 starts last season after coming back from injury. Both bullpens have been hit with injuries and both had key guys used yesterday so there is a definite vulnerability to late runs.

I forgot to mention that the line I played this at is much better than the lines you will find at most books. The book I played it at is not a sponsor (they were when I set up my account there) so I'd rather not mention them, but I will say that I still find this to be a strong play at over 8 and +100 or better.
