YTD 12-9 +7.89 UNITS

1.) 1/2 UNIT PARLAY (+200) TO WIN 1 UNIT

1. LA DODGERS -145 (Reuter/Weaver LISTED)
2. Florida Marlins -130 (Wolf/Burnett LISTED)

Was going to play Fla and LAD each for a unit, until I realized im still down 1/2 unit if I go 1-1 because of the vig. So if im gonna sweep I would make the same on both for a 1/2 that I would on a half unit parlay.

2.) Padres -105 (Peavy/Prior LISTED) --- 1/2 UNIT --------- POSTPONED

I rarely play my home team, but in this situation I am almost obligaged. I know Prior is coming off injury and a bad start in the minors etc, but this is one of the most dominant pitchers of the last few years coming in and only at a -105 at home? Plus Peavey pitched one of the more solid games we have seen from a pitcher this year his first game and now hes only a -105 as well. Shakey line, I think the public will favor the home team and the future HOF...ill go with my squad, but only for a 1/2

I bet cubs first 5 innings, hope you win after that. but to call Prior a future hall of famer is ludicrous. the guy has a 30-16 career record. been consistently hurt his first 3 seasons. yeah, if he was to stay healthy for 12 to 15 more years and average 15 wins a season, maybe. he definitely has good stuff, but as of now and in the immediate future, the only way hes getting near cooperstown is buying an admission ticket.

lol I meant IMO ... your right I should not be labeling him a HOF, but in my estimation I think if the kid stays healthy, as you said, their is no way he does not make it. He has some of the most amazing stuff that I have seen in my years.

5.) Tampa Bay +105 (Cabrera/Kazmir LISTED) --- 1 UNIT

Nobody is really giving this TB team a chance but if you look at their season thus far they have not been too bad with their young lineup, winning 3 in a row after starting 0-2, and finally being tamed by powerhouse pitcher Rich Harden. I really think the Orioles are stacked with talent, but they are yet to find their stroke here and they ahve struggled over the years at Tropicana going 27-30. Pinella is not going to allow another season to get away from him, and he will do whatever it takes to put this young, but talented, squad into contention. Kazmir is a future stud IMO, acquired last year from the Mets in a trade, he was the best pitcher in the Mets farm organization...going to ride him tonight, hopefully he gets the run support that he lacked in his first outting were he finished off with a 1.5 ERA

6.) Texas -110 (Lackey/Young LISTED) --- 1 UNIT (upgraded)

After a horrible loss yest, I think these Rangers get it together today and put up a solid outing against arguabley one of the worst starting pitchers in the AL. Not only has Lackey done NOTHING since the WS last year, he is also a horrible 3-6 against the Rangers lifetime with a 5.32 ERA...In a ballpark like the Ranger's ballpark, a pitcher like that can get eaten alive by the likes of Soriano and Blaylock.
