Rough day in which I started awful and had a better evening that could have ended up close to even had the Pads pulled there game out. The killer today was the Yankees not covering the RL after taking a 2 run lead in the 9th inning. I can't believe Mariano Rivera gave up a run. Run lines and parlays have had awful results thus far, however, I would play all of those plays again in the same situations. I feel pretty good about my capping so far even though I am now down -.10 units for the year. The dogs dominated the 1st series of the year but things will even out. I am glad those series are over and hope the 2nd tier go a bit better. I assume being about even after this series is probably good in comparison to many others and like I said earlier, I really think my capping has been solid even though the results have been mixed.

Back later with today?s selections?

Additions

Additions

Added plays and units to the above post.

Decided to play things slightly bigger as I feel I am due for my first really good day so I wanted to take advantage of it ... of course, if I have a bad day ... I only made things worse.

For the h*ll of it parlay

For the h*ll of it parlay

Added most likely my last play of the day ... a for the hell of it parlay.

Included the Expos as a dog to up the payout ... almost included the Tigers as well and I probably should have to make the payout even better.

The Bronx "Bombers" ???

The Bronx "Bombers" ???

The Yankees piss me off. Yesterday, I bet them -1.5 runs and they couldn't hit stinking Paul Abbott. Today, I bet them -1.5 runs again and they couldn't hammer another bum Scott Shoeneweis.

I know they hung on and I did win my wager but this lineup should be hammering washed up pitchers who are lucky to be in the majors yet.

agreed. their top 4 hitters had a combined 2 hits today. i think they're trying too hard to knock the shit out of the ball instead of getting hits in the outfield gaps. they may still be trying to adjust to one another (i know, stupid excuse) but i'm sure here in a few weeks they will start blowing teams out of the water.

why is everyone going against Willis today in the Marlins game?

Monk ... I agree the Yankees will start hitting the cover off the ball eventually. I just expected them to put a whippin' on Paul Abbott and Scott Schoeneweis so I was frustrated although they should have covered yesterday anyway.

As for Willis ... I just think this guy is vastly overrated based on his initial success last year. He has okay stuff but was not considered a can't miss top prospect by any means. When he came up last year with his wacky delivery, he looked great and the hitters struggled with him but he really looked him chit down the stretch and into the playoffs last year. I think he may end up an average major league pitcher but by no means would I lay big juice on him. For me, it's a value play today cause the Marlins lineup this year is not much if any better than the Expos. The Expos always seem to overachieve and Ohka, though nothing special, also doesn't suck.

As for the Marlins ... they will be a decent team but losing Lee at 1B and Pudge at catcher will hurt them defensively even more than offensively ... plus Pudge is great at calling games which also helped his pitchers last year.

Any way ... just my thoughts this one.

I actually think that the Expos have abetter offense than the Marlins. As for Willis, I think he has the potential to be a future Hall of Famer. He's fun to watch and has great junk. Ohka is OK I guess, a little streaky and gives up tons of hits. No play for me but hope it hits for you! ;)
