San fran -3.5 over the Giants.
No one knows whose going to show up for the Giants tonite.This team 2 yrs ago was in the Super Bowl.And we have gone down since then.I am a diehard Jint fan and have watched them thru out the preseason.
We are hurting.Being a fan and knowing them inside out does not make me a better capper by any strecth of the imagination.
In fact it hurts you more because your disappiontments and frustrations come out.
But my Jints are in trouble tonite.
The Off. line has been totally revamped.Some players have been moved to new positions for the 1st time.Their young and untested and will make many mistakes the 1st few games.They did not play that much together in the pre-season.
Tiki is awesome.But his hamstring is still a question mark.He will start but if they get behind Fassell will not waste him.The Jints need a running game tonite or Collins will be in trouble.W/O Tiki they have no running game.
Shockey is the most talented rookie since Rodney Hampton.I can't wait to see his big ass run over some 49er's.Collins has an arm but is still erratic.The bastard has no peripheral vision.None,nada.He cannot see or hear a def. player near him and has the ball knocked out of his hands time after time.Fassell worked all yr on his drop step,awareness,radar,etc.But in pre-season the same thing happened.
49er's on offense are loaded.read all the other posts about Garcia,Owens,Hearst,etc.
They will put out 3 wr's and spread the field.If the Jints respond with nickelbacks then barlow and hearst will run wild.
Giant defense is tough.DL is their strength.Stray just got 46 million.LB's are new and untested.DB's are young and quick.Allen and Peterson are getting better.But it's still a question mark.They made some bonehead plays in preseason.
Giants special teams are the worst in the NFL.The new Texas team has better ones.They can't cover anyone and give up huge yds on punts and KO's.
And speaking of kicking.They let Anderson go and signed Poachman.He's terrible but makes the team.Then he gets hurt and they sign Bryant who they cut 2 days ago.He has never kicked in the NFL.Been out of football and was working in a pawn shop lyr.He kicked a little in Arena football but hasen't kicked in 4 yrs since he left Baylor.I'm not making this up but tonite the Jints are going with such an untested kicker. They finally cut Rodney who can punt further then almost anyone in the NFL.The problem is you can order a "caffe latte" at a Starbucks,put sugar in it and drink it before Rodney can get his punt off.So Jints sign a new punter Allen.And to make things worse they just got a new snapper who just arrived at the last preseason game.He was working at that Starbucks.[just kidding on that one]
They have no kicking game what so ever.You know that will cost them tonite.
