-Eight of 49ers regular season games vs teams with a winning record, They were 4-4 in these games.

-Six of Panthers regular season games were vs teams with winning records and two vs .500 teams (Jets and Phins), They were 3-3 in these games.

-Panthers beat 49ers @ San Francisco 10-9 in regular season, no Crabtree for Niners in that game.

-Panthers 7-1 at home, only loss to Seattle in week one 7-12

-Panthers defense allowed 12 PPG @ home this year

-49ers have not allowed a 100 yd rusher this whole season

-49ers 3rd straight road game

Common opponents with winning records:
SF lost @ Seattle 3-29 Car lost vs Seattle 7-12
SF won vs Seattle 19-17 ----------
SF won @ Arz 23-20 Car lost @ Arz 6-22
SF won vs Arz 32-20 ----------
SF lost @ NO 20-23 Car lost @ NO 13-31
--------- Car won vs NO 17-13

What to make of all of this? Really feel like this game is either teams to win. All my numbers have the 49ers winning and I think Crabtree is an X factor for San Francisco while Steve Smith not at 100% could hurt Carolina. For Carolina to win this game Cam Newton will have to play his best game ever, Carolina will have a tough time running on this defense. This has 3 point game written all over it so with that said heres how Im gonna wager on it:

3*49ers-Panthers 1st half under 23 -153 $459 wins $300
2*49ers +3.5 -178 (for whole game) $356 wins $200

Good luck everyone and enjoy the games today

everybody`s talking about the battle of the running games(after yesterday) and linebackers...the defenses are almost mirror images and as good as there are in the league....i`m looking at kaepernick vs newton......what a match-up of similarly skilled young qbs...

newton has home field...kaepernick has maybe the best offensive supporting cast in the league and they`re all healthy.......

so many similarities in this game...kaep vs cam, curious to see which guy steps up....

OK dont go buy reg season wins look at the weak noddle arm of COLIN the lowest ranked passing offense in league to date ranked 32nd totall offense ranking 24th

definetly not superbowl caliber ranking

and who did 49ers beat last yeah right a team on life support on both sides of ball

and no cover win @ packers a team on 2nd string n 3rd string players on field

IF packers were even 85% helthy 49ers would have lost that game but it's to win with less than half your starters on field !

NOW they have to face a team who is fully helthy except for WR Smith

gut feeling that the guy that usually plays big in big games does it again today(and that guy would be anquan boldin).......the only prob is that i don`t entirely trust kaepernick to get him the ball....

not gonna do any boldin props...guy just seems to show in big games more times than not...

Well BGC looks like old Cam puked game away with multiple INT's sigh should have figured it was coming BUT Seattle is NO Panthers team 49ers on 4th roadie now and 6 trips total

to n from zona 2 to GB 3 to Car 4 back home to SF 5 one final time then up to seahwks 6

It's not like the players are flapping their wings a across the country, I don't think the consecutive road games is much of an issue in the NFL playoffs, except that it means you are facing top ranked NFL teams.
The 49ers showed absolutely no negative effects on the road today, and as you pointed out, 3 consecutive road games. One more won't matter. If the 49ers lose it will only be because Seattle is a very talented team.
Put another way, if I had to choose between the 49ers playing in Seattle for the nfc championship next week or 3 weeks ago, I will take the current scenario hands down. They are on a roll, and more ready for Seattle than ever.

I agree 100%, 49ers look like the team to beat. Didnt the giants whip off a bunch of road wins a few years ago on there way to a superbowl victory?

Scrapman enjoy reading your insight on NFL games.Do you happen to know how many teams have actually had an opportunity to play or win 4 consecutive road games?

I asked him that too, it can't be many. Packers won 3 road games in playoffs an own Super Bowl as well. Niners could give rays ass about this being a road game. Niners Win

My point is you would have to be a very good team to have. 4 consecutive road games as they would never schedule 4 in a row during the season.

Im sure Scrapman does know how many teams have had an opportunity to play or win 4 consecutive road games....he seems to know everything. Remember the Niners and Kaepernicks noodle arm had no chance beating a healthy team, they were supposed to lose by DD's but Cam Newton made bad plays which he shoulda saw coming.
