Charlotte -3 over Hofstra ****** strong play

Love Char is this game.I know they have been at home or at neutral courts but it doesn't make a difference.Loots has his team playing pressure defense and they force turnovers.Almost 20 a game..but more importantly..opponets shoot under 40%..They just beat SIU and Davidson this week.Again I know its at home but Hof cannot matchup.Goldwire is on fire hitting 8 tre's in the Davidson game.He was A-10,Dickie V etc. Pl of the week...Balanced attack,subs scoring over 20 pts a game..depth,etc..Hofstra has the No 1 scorer in the nation in Augudio and that is it.Jenkins is good avg 11 but Hof offense is bad and they rank 313th in scoring avg 59 pts a game.FG% is 310 avg 37%..St Francis and holy Cross already beat them.The other day Stoney Brook beat them by 3.
I have said it since day one Hof is not a good team. They lost 2 scrimmages by D-2 or 3 teams preseason.I have the line at -8 so I love this number..I'll be back tomr for a little more

just a few more notes on Charlotte-Hof
Char has won 3 in a row..4 of last 5...nice wins over Wake,SIU and Davidson...Loots has brought in some juco's players and they have provided him with some scoring.Mack and Cooley are 6'7 fds that can score and rebound.Plus play a little defense.Also Gerrity a pt gd who transferred in lyr can play his 1st game today.He was at Pepperdine where he avg 14 pts and 3 apgs a game.Was also WCC Freshman of the yr.Adding this pt gd who can score is a big plus for 49ers.
Hof other then Augudio again has offensives woes.They start 3 freshman,have no post player,are weak in the paint with no off. threats,etc
Charlotte wins this by double digits... with there pressure defense and Goldwire...strong play..

Okay I am with you guys on the 49ers. for 5 bills, but 96% of public on them too...:scared :scared :scared I know that the NHL Ducks got slaughtered last night and the public % was 96:scared

tigr...passing on NU-Johnnies.
Niagara is tough to read.Esp on the rd.johnnies also tough right now.Johnnies haven't played anyone but Miami.NU on the road is so unpredictable.Lost to Liberty..then are beating Towson st bad..2nd half score 3 baskets in 17 minutes..shoot 20-56 and still make it OT.In overtime they shoot 1-7 and lose.Johnnies play tough defense.Burrell is playing tough..Lawrence is a solid gd...but Johnnies giving anyone pts scares me..Fisher will score..Lewis is in a big time shooting slump..going to pass

just got back from school.We had another suicide.This was a boy who graduated lyr...jumped off a bridge into the delaware river...unreal...he has a brother who is a soph. Over a girlfriend that just broke up with him...

Hey box. I like Charlotte alot too. Nervous that Charlotte doesn't protect the 3 very well and that's really all Hofstra has. I took them strong too..but a little more nevous than I thought I would be.

I love UMASS/Toledo over 72 first half and 150.5 game. UMASS is crazy uptemp..pressing...shoot first available shot..guards are fast and active. They're happy giving up a layup and then running down your throat. Very fun to watch, play and coach. I watched them against BC and BC tried to slow down and not attack in the second half and they got blown out. Don't think Toledo will make the same mistake...you have to keep going forward against teams like this. Toledo will. This game ends up Mass 88, Toledo 72....or something like that.

Best of luck...just thought I'd share my strong play with you.

boxman, good info on uncc......i live 10 mins away from hofs, and though dont follow them tons, know they are a bit rebuilding since lost one or two of their "big 3" last yr of guards...appreciate your write ups all the time...
on a real life note, since im finishing school here in albany not that far from your hometown and i saw somewhere you were resigning but im glad the kids showed you lots of outpouring of support :toast: :toast: and with this crap winter as always in the northeast, you should f--k it all and move to vegas or somewhere warm and enjoy retirement.......good luck this season
ps....horrible re: your student w/the suicide, i just cant fathom....hey, we all have/had problems, but it's a selfish act and just very sad, esp. when people are young...all over a girl, or drugs, or whatever the case, just sad and tragic......
