DUMB, DUMB, DUMB... i HAD ONLY (exactas, that is) 7 OVER the 3,5,9. Can not believe I didn't put that no. 7 UNDER as well even for a lousy buck. :(

The idea was that horse was either gonna run out or win and nothing in between. Been keeping an eye on "EMMA", a GOOD jockey in my eyes (watched her at Philly) and today was her chance on a Janice Whitham horse. Then play (heavier) this one for place and (3x) for Show. Those plays paid off well enough, but NOT as good as a stinkin exacta.

BTW.. wasn't that zacta a little short? Just maybe somebody else had the same idea? Sorry bout getting it posted so close to post time... I had to think about how to play that one ... didn't do a good job with that.

Sure looked like I'm a little wacko

Sure looked like I'm a little wacko

Ya know, what I wrote was EXACTLY how I played that race... and it sure looks wacked out.."wins or runs out".. and then I put MORE on place and show than I played the zactas. Like about 3 x more. Normally wheeling the horse is the way to go for something like that... top and bottom. Just too much to put down with all the horses in G.P. fields. At Philly - ALWAYS wheelem.

The point is to look at your pick before they load, I DO. It's hard to identify a horse that IS ready to win... but a deadhead is very easy to spot. I do that for just about every race I play if I can.

I was gonna play that horse no matter what, someway or another. That no. 7 looked really good on the track and that is why I hit the place/show thing. Did it with about 3 mins to "off time". Then I posted.

IF I see something else later today, I'll try to get it here sooner. I'm being conservative at G.P. today... went home a losah the last two times I played this track. I hit some BIG balloons too.. but the prob. is that I cannot figure out which races to skip here like I do at Philly and I lose plenty of those "in between" races.

8th race

Looks like the 4 BIG dudes may have scared away a lot of this field. Looks like the no. 1. one of the BIG dudes, is still thinking about that dang plane ride from the west coast. I'm not interested in touching him.

I am interested in touching two who are brave enough to go up against the favs. though. BOTH, have enough early speed to make this race Verly Interlesting as that TURKEY, Nickoletti would say.

Nos. 3 and 6 for me. Gotta just pick one?.. well, that would be the 3, but I am gonna put something on that 6 as well.

Hmmm.. so much for what I thought about that no.1 hoss. Breeding suggests to me that this one is NOT for real.

The opportunity here is going against this one as the crowd continues to bet him down.

We'll see.

No. 5 is a stretch, but Desormoux fits this kinda horse really good.

Typical Gulfstream race... a "Spin of the Money Wheel". Getting enticed by the odds is what the problem is.... this is prob. a skipable race. Still , I'd like to take a shot.

The above are the capped selections.

The "spotter" picks (look like they're interested in running today) are the 7 and 10.

There ya go.. now just to be able to pull something out of this mess.

Well, the W/Plc/Show (3x) worked for the no. 10.
The no. 7 top/bot with all the nos. I had listed here didn't.

Looks like me, Cig, and 10 Mystery guests. I'd like to stay interested here. Mystery Guests... sign up, it's free and jump in. The water is fine in here and can heat up at any time :)

That no. 9 hoss managed to find a spot directly in back of a wall of 3 horsed in the homestretch. Still, even if they shoved a rocket up his ass... I don't see him coming home anywhere near the way those top two finishers did.

This is one TOUGH, TOUGH track. A great place to enjoy racing.. big fields, fast horses, huge price potentials.. but NOT the place to make moola consistantly.

The Philly dirtbombs is where it's at for doing that methinks. Now ... if they could just get some hosses there and also some more patrons so they can stay in business. :(
