One for this morning. I will post some notes later and possibly another play. Good luck.

Arizona +205 over YANKEES 300/615

Mussina gave up 8 hits in 6 innings last time out and could not retire a batter in the seventh, which may point to a lackluster start this afternoon. Batista does not have great numbers in his last two starts, but watching him pitch it is clear that he is close to his A-game. D-Backs have been outhitting opponents in virtually every game except yesterday while it has been the opposite for the Yanks. Without Rivera there is a large question mark about the Yankees bullpen as well.

Three more for today. Good luck.

San Diego +125 over BALTIMORE 400/500

Lopez looks like the victim of overuse and the Baltimore bullpen may be overworked as well. Lawrence is the Padres' ace and I expect him to be a stopper today.

San Francisco +103 over TORONTO 400/412

Basically a fade against Halladay with the expectation that Toronto is winding down their hot play and San Francisco is starting a hot run. Halladay has been badly overworked in his last two starts and against a team that dialed in for nine runs yesterday, that is a terrible spot to be in.

DETROIT -115 over Montreal 400/348

Weaver has been hit in three straight starts, so judging by his history he should be out of his down cycle and effective today. Armas left his last start with a blister, which is not a good sign. Tigers have tallied 13 hits in each of the first two games of this series and their bullpen is far more rested at this point.

thanks for your work!

thanks for your work!

Weaver's arm may also have, finally, been able to recover somewhat, having only thrown 75 pitches in his last outing after outings of 116, 124, 127, and 114 the 4 prior to that.

Good luck today!

i was at the tigers game last night. they just flat out can't hit with guys in scoring position... they swing at so many bad pitches

i've been on weaver the last 5 or 6 starts, he's been struggling big time

it is very tempting to play them again tonight, but montreal scares me

guerrero hasn't done anything this series yet, should be interesting.

plus Montreal used everyone in their pen except for Lloyd last night

acevado has had 2 long 1 innings in the last 2 nights

Nick...nice calls on the early games.

As far as that blister Armas had...I heard it's pretty much healed and he's ready to go, but you never know if it'll reappear during the game.

Sounds like Josh Beckett is really having problems with blisters developing, think he's gonna be out a while, so you just never do really know, if it's similiar to Beckett's problem it could pop up at any time which could leads to problems for Montreal with their pen.

Good luck.

chump,

this is exactly what I was thinking...he's so due for a breakout game. How much longer can they keep hadcuffs on that guy?

Nice hits Nick...keep up the excellent work.
