Still not putting any cash on these games but it looks like I will be playing for real soon. Here are the two I handicapped for today.
ARIZONA -120 over Cleveland
Patterson is a good young pitcher who seems to be improving. Anderson is pretty bad, but coming off a good outing so I expect a reversal of fortune. Cleveland does not have a great bullpen but they haven?t given up an ER in the last three games, so they could get hit today.
Baltimore +130 over ST. LOUIS
Obviously Ponson is much better than Stephenson, whose last start was skipped. Ponson threw 116 pitches and faced 35 batters last time out, but he had 5 days in between starts so he should be sharp. O?s bullpen is battered both in numbers and overuse but Lightenberg, Groom and Roberts both rested yesterday and Julio only threw 15 pitches in taking the loss. I expect a much better outing from the bullpen today.
