Rolltide - I don't think I've met you (unless you were at the MJ's Super Bowl parties years ago at Sunset Station), but CONGRATS!

That is a tremendous achievement and is truly inspirational - at least for me, it is.

Hopefully I can be as dedicated as you have been - as I've tried many times before, I know how hard it is to stay focused.

Thanks again to everyone for your comments. The picture was a real hit with my friends and my surgeon loved it.

I had my 6 month follow up today with my dietitian and surgeon. They all told me that I have set the record for weight loss at Major Hospital after 6 months. My official weight is 319.8 per the doctor's scales. My official weigh in on Sept. 9 was 500 pounds. My official surgery weight was 453 pounds.

Down 180 pounds since Sept. 9
Down 133 pounds since Dec. 2

Told me that I need to start jogging more than walking to get my heart rate up. Said that will help me to lose more weight. That and my drinking, LOL. I don't drink near as much as I did pre-surgery, but I still enjoy a cocktail every now and then. He does not have a problem with that, but wants me to cut back a little. I can live with that.
