S Carolina vs Florida 07:00 pm Florida -11.5 :iagree:

Going with home dominant Florida as the rolling Gators will dispose of the weary and sliding South Carolina Gamecocks.

Seventh-ranked Florida has won a nation's second-best 20 consecutive games at the very loud and boisterous O'Connell Center. They've reeled off those wins, most recently by 15 over Kentucky and by 23 over Vanderbilt, by an average margin of 22.1 points per victory.

Florida has a dazzling point guard in Taurean Green and 6-11 big man Joakim Noah has been playing huge in the paint. Not to mention that Corey Brewer is healthy for this go-round. Brewer was gimping on a sprained ankle last month in Florida's six-point upset loss at South Carolina.

But that was a Gator team coming in emotionally down having endured its first loss of the year a couple of days earlier at Tennessee. Since then, the Gators have played tenacious defense in winning and covering three straight. South Carolina (1-7 SU and 3-5 ATS last eight at Florida) is playing its third straight roadie and sixth game on the highway in less than a month.

The Cocks have lost by 14 to Arkansas and by 16 to Tennessee in their last two games. This is a tired team. And their best player, sophomore wing Dwayne Balkman, isn't healthy after spraining his knee.

Even without Lee Humphrey, the Gators (11-5 ATS this season) are the better team against this slumping so-so South Carolina (11-10 SU this season) outright.
