"the bunker"
i`m not "blaming the media" for everything that happens...actually,i`m not on here nearly as often as i used to be...

you missed me?...lol

i`m not a huge bush supporter...but the manic,rhetoric-ridden attacks on this board deserve a response...

i`m disgusted by the media`s bias...it`s tilted against everything this country does..

i don`t go on the nightly news every night...posing as an objective observer......spouting anti-bush,anti-administration stories as gospel without checking my facts...

i don`t make the decision to put "abu gharaib" on the front page of a national newspaper for a month straight....then,when congressmen visit the compound and see it for themselves...and find it`s run very well...and humanely...stick it on page 18.....

i don`t pound cindy sheehan down the public`s throats every night....totally ignoring the families of fallen soldiers that believe in what their sons and daughters are doing....
.
bjfiniste...it`s you that is "tilted"..."askew"...."myopic"....

your attack on me shows your immature hysteria....

you attack me...i give you examples....

you call me names....i cite facts...

grow up...

I didn't call you names, I said your posts sound extremist, paranoid and neurotic, because that's how they sound. The closest thing to calling you a name was saying that you are ideologically tilted, the same thing you said to Kosar, who really is one of the most "middle" guys on the board.

I am tilted... I've never tried to say otherwise. I've never called myself a centrist, or a moderate, or anything else. It's not immature hysteria, it's just me being sick of 95 percent of your posts (in this particular forum) making some shot at how the media does this or that or is so anti-American. It's like you want some government-run media so they can control whatever is told or shown. Bad things DO happen, and we'd be living in a dream world if those things weren't reported.

And yes.... when it comes down to it... I did miss you.

Stevie was right about his comment about the slaughter was going to happen regardless how many deaths we took in Nam....

Bottom line is the US government didn't fight to win the war in Nam, it chose to fight the war piecemeal in the jungles fighting a guerilla war....if we were serious about our stance we would have taken it to the north and bombed them into a quick surrender.....

How else was the Vietnam war going to last for ten years unless we decided to drag it out instead of going for the throat? I guess the Powell Doctrine wasn't anywhere on anyone's thinking horizon at that time?

The slaughter after we left was going to happen....only shot it had of not happening was carpet bombing the north and seeing white flags after a couple three months...

As far as democracy in Iraq, I only have to think back a few days to the shootings down in New Orleans with the looting and the flood.....that happens HERE in the democracy established USA, and some people think democracy will fly over there when government has to consult the Koran before making a decision regarding government policy? :mj14:
