One for today as I am taking it light. Good luck.

YANKEES -225 over Toronto 500/222

Mainly a play on Weaver as the stopper. He struggled last time out against Toronto but with the extra rest he should go long and give an excellent performance. Yankees' bats continue to be hot so they should give enough run support here.

Nick............Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I don't see how you can lay that kinda juice on Weaver and the Yanks. Jays' bats are hot as well and the Yanks' bully is a mess. I like Weaver but I need to see a few starts under his belt with his new club first. I see absolutely 0 value in this wager.

jr44, you ol' schmoozer, quit sugar-coating it and just say how you really feel about nick's play. actually, i really like nick's approach to capping bases but i wouldn't have the nerve to lay that kinda wood against the jays tonight either. i actually feel like robtbirish's play on the over is the way to go. and btw, jr, we southern boys sure stick together a lot more than you left coast guys. is it the tofu? :D

Yankee's definitely the better team.

But Jays are very very streaky .. also Jays startin to play better at home ..

Just put on the game and Delgado is the DH .. that should favor the Yankee's.

Weaver not very impressive though Walker does not have a good enuf curve ball .. just fast ball and slider which the Yankee's may hit .. I got very small on Toronto but I think Yankee's may get this game. Shud be angry after loss yesterday. Good teams usually bounce back and Yankee's are one of the best at that.

Cheers !!!

Junior and loophole,

What can I say? You guys were absolutely right. For a fave at that price there is no way you should have to sweat it out the way this game did if the play is a good play.

To be honest I just played this one on feel more than anything else. I was coming off 4 straight losses trying to handicap games the way I normally do so I looked at that board the night before and tried to find the surest winner regardless of price. I got lucky in this scenario. Today I am going to go back to trying to find more traditional value.

TTM$, thanks for the post and I am glad you hit it, too.

Nick - Phewwwwwwwwwwww.........lol

Glad ya got the win on that nailbiter. Also, I agree with Loop. I like your approach to capping bases as well, very much like my own. Lotta woofies. That's why I posted. I was s'prised to see you laying that lumberyard.

Loop - lmao@Schmoozer. I did kinda sugar coat that though, i agree with ya.........shoulda just said: "Nick, that play sucks" but i didnt want him to get mad at me. Yep, us left-coasters are pretty flighty. Too many fish tacos and sand in my ears, but I come in handy with that late breaking Hawaii Rainbow midnight kick-off info.........
