Here are my thoughts on each of my plays. Good luck.

YANKEES -175 over Boston 525/300

Yesterday's game featured tons of bullpen work from two teams who already had used their bullpens liberally leading up to the game. I see only Stanton and Mendoza as effective (or somewhat effective) relievers being available for New York and only Urbina, Garces and Hermanson available for Boston. That gives a gigantic advantage to the Yanks, who have a guy who regularly throws 7, 8 or 9 innings in Weaver. Burkett is a good pitcher, but usually a 6 to 7 inning guy at this stage. Obviously there is also the fact that the Yanks want this series win at home in front of a likely sell out crowd.

Tampa Bay +165 over TORONTO 400/660

Sosa got off to a rough start to his career but he has looked very capable lately. Walker has a nice record, but he is very hittable. Jays have over used their bullpen lately, and there have to be question marks about the availability of Cassidy and Escobar. Tampa used two innings eaters to finish yesterday's shootout so they are in better shape in the 'pen. This game fits the angle of a team coming back strong from a big deficit late, only to lose. The Rays are also trying to avoid the sweep and have incentive with their top prospect, Carl Crawford, being promoted yesterday

Milwaukee +145 over Colorado 400/580

Sheets has been superb as of late, going 7 innings in each of his last 2 starts with a total of 3 earned runs allowed and 15 strikeouts. There was a lot of talk within the Brewers about the team not giving him support after his last outing so I expect a better performance today. Jennings' ERA has been decent in his last two starts, but he is walking too many batters and giving up too many hits. The Colorado bullpen should be weary as the team has surrendered 26 runs in the four games of this homestand so far. Brewers are also looking to avoid the sweep.
