My apologies for not replying to y'all yesterday. I was pretty much travelling all day. And JT, it looks like you didn't even need the help of my Angels game for how good ya did yesterday.

I did get to see Miller Park for the first time yesterday (I grew up in Milwaukee). I had great seats in the lower deck down the line but I have to say I am disappointed in the ballpark. Even with the roof open it didn't feel as open as a normal ballpark and the upper deck is just really, really high up there. It reminded me of Staples Center in that the fans just seem too far removed from the action. County Stadium surely was a dump but it is too bad they couldn't have made it a little cozier like some of the other new parks.

FWIW, here is how I would rate the parks I have been to: Wrigley (by far), Dodger, Anaheim (remodeled), Murph, Miller, Joe Robbie, County.

Okay, sorry for the little rant but I had to get that in. I am in a good mood because I have finally reached a season high after hitting +6300 in late May and then dropping as low as +2500 at one point. I found one really fine dog today.

DETROIT +110 over Cubs 400/440

Tavarez really got worked his last time out and Detroit is red hot right now. The Cubs are playing well, too, but only in their last game did the offense come alive. Sparks' long outing yesterday means the bullpen is rested so I see every advantage here with the Tigers.
