I have two very large dogs today but I feel both are extremely strong plays. To tell you the truth I have been looking forward to today for a few days now so let's see what happens.
Mets +190 over YANKEES 400/760
What a strong play this is. Mussina has struggled his last three times out but has found ways to get out of jams. That will not last forever. Appier was absolutely stellar last time out and the Mets pen should be ready here. I expect the public to hit the Yanks hard so wait until just before the game to play this one.
TAMPA BAY +170 over Florida 400/680
A super spot for Tampa. Lopez has been great in his last few starts. He has faded late in all of them and the bullpen has given him losses, but his stuff has been top shelf. Tampa let their closer go three innings yesterday so they should have the fresher bullpen. The Tampa bats have been more consistent lately as they have been getting hits off everyone. Penny did own the Rays the last time he faced them but he was not very impressive in his last outing. Every advantage I see here is with the Rays today.
