What's the big deal? Everyone is harping this movie as one of the best to come around in a long time. I've seen projections as high as $40 million. Hogwash!

It's essentially a story about Eminem starring eminem. While die hard fans of Eminem (both of them) will be interested in this movie my hunch is that most people will care less. I don't see it doing $25 million. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if The Santa Clause 2 beats it straight up this weekend.

I do not care about Eminem in the least bit, but I am going to see this movie. I think this will have a great showing in the 18-24 male crowd (which will bring their dates along with them).

I think $40 milllion is high, but I do see this movie pulling in numbers.

Good luck.

They are promoting the shit out of this movie. And the fact that the director of LA Confidental and the producer of Beautiful Mind is part of this film...well that has a few heads turning from what I have seen. I know a few people who hate M&M but will watch this becuase they figure it should be a decent movie due to the director and producer, plus Kim Basinger is in this...wonder is she still looks good

On the course!
If "Jackass" can lead the way, a week ago......nothing will ever shock me!

I'm not a big eminem fan, but there's something to be said for the 'go for broke' theory and the people that can make something of themselves just before they go bust. they sell the movie as that and it somewhat intrigues me, as I feel somewhat similar in my own way. there might be a wider audience that is initially thought.
