Two great races with potential today,the grade 2 Jerome Hcp and the grade 1 Vosburgh. Forced to double my $24 limit today.
Race 8 The Jerome hcp.
This race features #1 Fusaichi Pegasus the even money fav.Several in here I believe are up to challenge.The 3 El Corredor actually leads F-Pegasus in pace,speed and class figures,however is west coast shipper and many times fall flat here but worth a shot.Will toss 2 horses out of this 7 horse field for betting purposes,the 4 (don't like) and the 6 (good horse but never been 8 fl)Will key the 1 F-Pegasus in 2nd and 3rd
with the 2,3,5,7. Cost $24
Race 9 The Vosburgh
eleven horse field in this race of some of the finest sprinters in the world.Whats makes this difficult to cap is a most unusual pace scenario.NO closers in this race.Average position of all horses at first call is no less than 3rd.Makes for an interesting race.With this in mind will scrap last 4 post positions hoping it will be too much for them and will concentrate on class & speed more than pace.Believe there could be great payoff in this race.The favs: #2 More Than Ready is 7 for 7 at this distance, #5 Successful Appeal is 7 for 11 but been running against better.Three horses I think that have shot at upset are #1 Trippi 4/1 ml,the 6 Delaware Township 8/1 and the 7 One Way Love 12/1.Hard to decide on the 2 or 5 for key but opted for the 5 who rates a class edge and also like his post position,where as the 2 could get pinched to the rail early and have rough trip.Will spend another $24
Will key the 5 at 2nd and 3rd with the 1,2,6,7 Good Luck
