I messed up in sending this last night so I don't know if Jack will be around to get it today.

MORNING UPDATE:
II decided to add one college football play for tonight. It is listed below. Get a good line on it. Get -140 or better.
***
Wow. Coming off the elation of a second consecutive winning day and a very strong start to this week, I was expecting to make a couple of moves on Thursday. Man was I in for a rude surprise when the Jets total fell to 40 1/2 (40 at some shops) and the baseball card really turned up nothing of interest for me.
I even turned my attention to college football in search of a strong play and found a possibility in Southern Miss. Problem is, some books have this line at -2 and no book that I am funded at has a line that good so I there is no play, yet. If a funded book does drop their line to a more favorable number on the Golden Eagles, I may play them. Otherwise, I will just sit back in the ol? easy chair and enjoy the NFL season opener.
We are headed into the weekend and so far things are looking good for the week. $140 in profit right now with a shade over $440 out on NFL plays. I would like to shore up that nickel for this week and coast through the weekend, but we?ll have to see how the next couple of days progress. Remember that the most important thing is to pocket a good profit for the week so I?m not going to reach just to try to attain some arbitrary goal.
The last note for the day is that I really hope you guys are giving these plays a look. My handicapping is always well researched and with a reasonable maximum daily exposure of $500, most players can afford to follow these plays on the side of their own plays and simply have that extra nickel a week as gravy. Even if you wager smaller amounts, there are plays worth backing. For instance, if $500 is too much per day, go with 1/5 the amount for a $100 maximum daily outlay. $10 instead of $50, $20 instead of $100, etc. You?ll still pocket $100 a week.
9/4 MLB Plays: (All lines from CRIS)
Pass
9/4 NCAA Football Plays: (All lines from CRIS)
Southern Mississippi PK -150 over UAB 75/50
I played this at -140 and I would recommend that you find a book at -140 to play it.
Week 1 NFL Plays: (All lines from CRIS)
Played 9/3:
(Thursday) Jets vs. WASHINGTON Under 41 55/50
(Sunday) Denver vs. CINCINNATI Under 43 165/150

(Sunday) Indianapolis +1 over CLEVELAND 110/100

THE ESSENTIALS
Before you bet on any game there are certain things that must be taken care of if you want any chance at making money long term. Please make sure these are taken care of before you make any wagers.
MONEY MANAGEMENT
1) ESTABLISH YOUR BANKROLL. This should be the amount of money you can afford to lose and are willing to lose wagering on sports.
2) TRACK ALL WAGERS. Track the following categories at a bare minimum: wager, spread, line, sport, sportsbook, risk amount, win amount, result, cumulative bankroll.
3) NEVER WAGER MORE THAN 5% OF YOUR BANKROLL. Except on rare occasions. In those cases, which should total less than a handful each calendar year, keep your wagers to 10% or less.
HANDICAPPING
4) DON?T BET FOR ACTION. Bet only when you find a legitimate reason why it is a strong wager.
5) DON?T CHASE LOSSES. Do not make additional wagers just because you lost money recently.
6) BET WHAT YOU KNOW. Only bet sports and wager types that you feel comfortable with.
7) HANDICAP THE WHOLE GAME. Don?t rely on one stat, trend or part of the game in your handicapping.
