The cubs end with 97 wins, the 3rd best record in baseball; 1 game behind 2nd best record and 3 games behind best record and get to play a do or die game....on the road!

I think these are the 2 best teams in the nl and 1 will be gone in 9 innings.

And the Mets benefit by winning the worst division in baseball, playing the Braves, Marlins, Phillies and Nats over 70 of their 162 games and getting to play at least 3 out of 5....Something baseball needs to change is the seeding of these teams going by total wins instead of winning a division. Mets were 7-20 vs LAD, Cubs, Pirates, and Cardinals.

Laughable guys!

pirates never lost to Mets , won 6-0 out scoring them 37-10

pirates 5-1 vs Dodgers out scoring them 33-26

pirates 5-1 vs Giants out scoring them 27-17

Yes they should be in a series, but if cole matches arietta, the Pirates bullpen is far better. We need him to have a high pitch count and get him out after 7. Cole is 3-1 vs cubs with a low 2 era. Pirates almost unbeatable at home. Yes it's a tall mountain, but a mountain this Pirate team can climb under the right circumstances.

Remember that these three teams all won nearly 100 games beating up on each other in the same division..... They all played eachother a lot so one of them had to add a loss everytime they played... Imagine if they played in a different division and didn't have all those games vs each other.....all those losses could've been 5 more wins for all 3 teams...


Regardless ill be at the game....it should be a good one
