I've never heard talk of banning guns. Restricting the right to own and possess guns is the key in this situation we find ourselves in.

I take that back, I do hear of gun bans and door to door gun seizures, but only from uneducated gun lovers overreacting to adult conversations regarding gun restrictions

I think all guns should be registered, and all owners background checked. Maybe semi-auto handguns and assault rifles are most frequently used in crimes, but Grandpa's old double barrel and that pink handled six shooter will kill just fine too.

I'm not afraid of a background check and registration. Why are you afraid?

Mass shootings in the USA are a disgrace.

Compare the USA to Canada, a country with a similarly educated population, and similar racial diversity.

Canada's rate per population is 1/10th of ours.

Why?

1. Canada requires all gun owners to have a permit.

2. There is no NRA posting scare tactics about the drug-crazed killier breaking into your home to kill you.

3. There is no hero-worship of gun fighters like John Wayne and Dirty Harry.

I blame most mass killings on those who demonize other races, other faiths, other societal or political views, Hate mongers like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and the rest.

Their rhetoric goes: "THEY are trying to take our country away from us. THEY deserve to be killed."

Just ask Dylan Roof.
