In October of 2006 I purchased a 47 inch LCD Vizio from my local Costco store and Saturday night it died. I just got off with John the manager and because I bought the TV under the old return policy and not the newer 90 return policy he said bring it in and we'll give you a new one..........COSTCO is the bomb.

The End

I wouldn't have the balls to return something that died after 7 years of good use. But, kudos to Costco for treating complaining customers so well. :0074

John the manager was very cool. I didn't pressure him at all, actually I was very humble and just asked if he could honor the old return policy? I was prepared for him to say he couldn't, but thought I'd at least ask.

It's ridiculously customer friendly, and I don't blame you for taking advantage of it. I just can't believe how they ever made that work for them.

Having a margin of 90%+ on cheap Chinese made garbage that you charge people a fee to purchase in the first place makes it easy to take a beating on a few things now and then.

Most of their electronics are probably loss leaders; I am fairly certain the margins for televisions don't approach 50% let alone 90%
