a better #2 qb pick?

apparently Indy announced that they're going with Andrew Luck -which isnt anykinda news, though... has a qb, drafted at #2 spot ever proven to be a better pick, than the qb selected at #1?

all i can remember is

leaf/manning

mirer/bledose

-and in each instance the #1 did well, while the #2... not soo much

i actually think rg3 could be good (better than luck), though history (from what i can see) isn't on his side (as far as being better than luck anyways). granted, theres tons of other tangibles in there, like the team they're going to, so on ect.,

Donovan McNabb was a qb taken 2nd overall, do not remember who was first pick

this year is different, I think RGIII will be good as Luck...you never know both are one injury away

I knew he was a #1 pick, though didnt think there was a QB selected behind him (and another after that)

turns out McNabb was sandwiched tween 2 not great NFL qbs (akili smith 3rd overall)

Baylor QB Robert Griffin III is said to have a selfish streak, according to an unnamed scout. His athleticism may be overrated as well, according to the scout. 'As much as is written about his athleticism, his athleticism under duress in the pocket isn't even close to Cam Newton's,' the scout said. 'This guy, the only way he gets big plays with his feet is if he's got a wide-open field and the sea opens for him. He's got a little bit of a selfish streak, too. Everybody was laying on Cam, but for some reason this guy has become gloves off. He doesn't treat anybody good.' Another scout also questioned the way Griffin deals with people.

Rule number 1: Always be leery of the "unnamed" scout. Rule number 2: Triple that leeriness the week prior to the draft. We love what we see from Griffin and think he'll be a nice addition for the Redskins if all goes to plan.
