why i ever bet on this fking idiot in the tourney is beyond me

his teams always look completely unprepared vs similar competition....this game looks alot like their sweet 16 near loss to wvu and their elimination in the elite 8 by lsu

i have 8 pending winning parlays tied to this fking idiot????

not sure, maybe i'm the bigger idiot?

it's more the ineptitude of barnes on being able to get his team to come out and play and then to make ANY FKING CHANGES

durant was guarded by DJ Hackett the entire first half and i saw ZERO post up plays for Durant.......why the coach doesnt see this and call those type of plays is beyond me.

Again...nothing new. I have only seen him make an in-game adjustment once and that was when he went full court press on Baylor in ther Big 12 tourney in the second half.....and of course came back from 20 down.

It's close enough now that Durant could win the game by himself...assuming he can get the ball....

bad news....texas didnt fire rick barnes at halftime

they have no chance as apparently the half time speech was, let's try jacking up 20 foot jumpers from the corner, that way we either make them or sc gets a run out off our miss and we dont have to worry about playing defense.....plus, dont bother posting anybody up against sc who has little inside presence.

good bye 3k in potential winning on this one fking game.

gjn...not only is he an avg coach[bench] but a back stabber...He is hated by most of the BE coaches when he went behind Gordan Chiesa's back, bad mouthed him and hinted to boosters and the Prov brass that if they "got rid of Gordan" he would come to Prov to coach..Gordan had a great player[from my HS] that he benched....and threatened to tranfer unless they got rid of the coach..Long story short....Cheisa got fired...Barnes took the prov job..and the player stayed..Barnes was confronted by Jimmy Boe and the BE coaches about his backstabbing way of getting the job...ask me how do I know this..Gordan's brother-in law taught at my school...knew Gordie well from his days at STAC and manhattan..was my guest speaker at 5 of my awards dinner because his sister also volunterred at my school...Gordie left college and became an asst at Utah Jazz...he's stil there...And barnes is still a back stabber...

i'm pretty sure he's used the "lute will die before you graduate" pitch on recruits thinking about arizona and texas

tossup between barnes, bill self and gary williams as to who i cant stand the most.

This was not a good team in the first place. If it not for KD these kids may not have made it to the NIT. Watching all the games this year I really didn't see how anyone had them going deep in the tourney. Yes they showed some great talent some games but then in others they looked horrible. The last Baylor game is exactly the type of game I am talking about with this team.

Now for Barnes. The guy had a horrible year this year, but he DIDNT cost us this game. We played horrible they played well, a losing formula. My biggest thing with him is we ran a zone defense with two guards at or under 6 feet, and we got burned with it all year yet he would continue to go to it. K-STATE burned us at home from the three point line because their larger guards just shot over Augustine and Abrams. During the season finale against Kansas everytime we went to zone they killed us from deep. So what does Barnes choose to do up three at the end of regulation? O yeah how about go to a zone...BAMM over the 6 footers!

By winning one game in the NCAA Tournament, Texas remains above .500 all-time in tournament games at 29-28 over 25 appearances. Rick Barnes stands 13-9 in the NCAA Tournament as the Texas coach.
