Just sharing notes about today's Philly action. Rarely find runners to watch unless I see something special and today I saw two.

From the 7th race - Silver Payday
Don't care for the trainer of this one but despite that - this mare showed some glaring signs of waking up today in the prerace AND the race itself. Even if she moves up in class from the bottom level - she's gonna have me along for the ride in her next race.

From the 10th race - Last Boot
Gotta wonder what's up with the layoffs during this guy's short career? That's usually a very bad sign but this horse is in very good hands and is consistent as any. Bottom line is that this one is a play in ANY claiming race it gets entered in provided there's no "monster" included in the entrees.

BTW, how bout that last race today? ....
Winnah was no. 10 @ 35 to 1
Placer was no. 5 @ 35 to 1
Philly style MEGA BOMBER zacta paid $1980.40

AND.. I did good in that race too :00hour
(had it marked as a "No Play") :)

Misc. stuff
Tried to post picks yesterday morning, but didn't have enough time cause a VERY "impotent" tennis match was on TV. It goes without writing who I liked (played my bestest main man before the French Open started. Got Rafa at -110 to win it all. NO stinkin $2 tickets on that futures bet. Hadda wrap them up with rubber bands for that one.). I even posted this in my other forum where there's a few tennis players there....

Gonna put Tuesday HERE

Gonna put Tuesday HERE

WTF.. being ignored - ONLY 20 views :0039

:mj07:

Think I'll put Tue$ picks here cause the Philly MJers will probably find them.. ;)

Philly - "lucky" Tue$

(gonna just put what I got marked as my plays. Yeah, some look a bit strange or dumb, but these are what I'm on today)...

2nd Wace
5 top/bot w. 1,2,3 (double sized zackta tickets)
2 top/bot w. 1,4,6 (single sized tickets)

4th
no. 1 top/bot with 7,8 dbl. sized (oh, BTW that would be $4 stinkin dollar tickets in my case :s2: )

AND no. 1 Win/Place (at least 5 bucks, each spot. ALWAYS make the straight bets for much more than each zotic bet. For me, I don't like this one enough to make it $10/$10 or higher. )

ADD no. 8 top/bot with 4,5,6 (reg. tickets)

.
.
.
Ahhh... WHATS UP WITH THE FREAKIN FENCES?? IT'S (lucky) Tue$day damnit. Cut the circus CRAP!

.
.
8th Wace
these nos. ARE correct ->trifectas 7/1,2,4/1,2,5 (on Sun. I hit the tri AND exacta, 2nd race. BOTH came back with Philly (bonus) sized zotic payoffs :0001. BEST part was that I originally had that race marked as a "NO PLAY". LUCKILY, I noticed the pp (past performances) lines on the no. 7 and LUVED him/her(?). LUVED the payoffs even more. Second bestest part waz that I only had 6 (yeah, only 1 stinkin dollar tickets) trifecta tickets. Think I'll be sprinkling in a trifecta play here and there once in awhile.

ALSO, box 5<->7 (reg. 2 dollar jobbies)
AND, no.2 OVER 1,4,5,7

what a mess, huh. I will reply with MY result, moola won/lost, for this race.

9th
Right now, I got it marked -> 5,7 top/bot 1,8

Good Luck and ah.. .. RAFA RULES :)

Thanks for the replies, MJers.

If yas betem right you should be above water at this point, I am. Biggest TICKET I played today was on that straight bet on that nice no. 1 D.B.

No. 3 looks like he's feeling pretty good about runing tody so a small play on Western Ice is in order. A dollar wheel top/bottom is the other options for the 9th.

I'll be back. 3 min. to post for the 9th.

Ok, I'm back. This time I HOPE nobody was able to get that Western Ice in on time - I DID bet it AFTER I posted though. (2/2/5 that's all)

Here's how I bet in situations like the 9th...

You gotta consider 3 things.. (1) where do you have it rated in your HANDICAPPING? (2) How it L@@Ks on the track. (3) it's odds and the field size.

It's odds plays a big part. In the 9th race, the decision was the small straight play across.

HM, that no. 1 winning means that, AT LEAST, it shouldn't be really bad day.. but, tellya, a good ole 1-3-6 Tri Box wouldn't done wonders for me in that there race. :0045

Since we actually gots a quorum here today.... I'll do my bestest to keep yas posted on what I see IF I SEE ANYTHING WORTHWHILE.

With the no. 8 getting scwatched, the play for this 10th is 5,7 top/bot w. 1,3 .. small zactas.

OK, the 2,3, and freakin 6 look a little better on the track than the others. Pretty much the OPPOSITE of what my ratings tell me.

Bottom line is have patience and just watch or pick YOUR plays. This wace is a bad situation, MJers.

Looks like the real hossplayers slipped out the door when I wasn't looking. HOPE they did that BEFORE the 9th race.. LOL.

A L@@KER, no. 3 won the 10th at 7 to 1. NO BIGGIE, I won that race cause I didn't play a thing. Finish was 3-1-7. Yeah, it WOULDA been a big thing if that dang tri. was 3-1-6 again. BTW, that no. 3 hoss was rated pretty low according to my capping.

Looks like the last (11th) is a so/so betable race. If somebody comes back online, I'll post something. Still, skipping the 11th isn't a bad decision today. We'll see.

Wrap up time

Wrap up time

Last race was 5-8-9, a 5-9 woulda worked; I don't know what it woulda paid. No. 5 was my highest rated horse and looked among the bestest in the prewace, but NOT worth even moola. The nos. 3 and 6 were the other lookers.

NOW... the BIG QUESTION is.. What the hell are we gonna do about that SMOKER at Presque, HAMMY?

If anybody knows something about what those horses and/or track is all about chime in. Think I'll set my horse alert siren to go off at 5:45 and checkem out. :)

It's official.

Nothing available live for this track, no paddock, post parade, nuthin. Must be small time. Smokin (and JOKIN) hadem by open lengths with only the stretch drive left to go. That shoulda given him some breathing room but FORGET IT. This time he walked across the finish line (may have been last?). I watched the replay.

Even though he looked better at Philly, taking off like a jet (for that class of race) from his outside post and showed a bit of stamina in the late stages. I think we gotta take this Joker off the "watch list" , he has no stamina at all and I don't believe he do 5 furlongs.

Me? Well, I don't like to bet blindly, but did go for $2 wheel on top, only. I saw that the exacta payoffs were generous in the earlier race results.

I''m off for the next 3 days LOL

We'll see if Philly kicked out them fence jumpas. I don't know what the hell thems thinking off cause those races get VERY little betting action. I used to love watching them when I was at the track in N.Y. and N.J. but the betting windows were dead. I don't think any Fla. track (maybe Tampa?) ever ran them.

Hope to see yas around after good ole Philly starts their new week.
